Thank you for all the suggestions....my grandmother was named Charlotte and they called her Chick but that was in the 50's and 60's....

Charlie or Lotty are the most popular i went to school with a girl called charlotte and we used to call her spyder as in the book charlottes web but it wasnt funny then so probably is still not

My cousin was named Charlotte.
Lottie is what she was called. Or her brother called her- Charlie.
The woman I worked with named Charlotte, went by the name Char.
