Im turning 18 next month, and I am planning to move out. Where I live now, I do not see a bright opportunity in career wise. I have saved money and I would like to see the world and begin college. Everything I have carefully analyzed and looked at... costs..etc. but one thing bothers me. My parents don't want me to go, and honestly, I will miss them very much. I have to ask to borrow their credit card, to order my plane ticket within the next few days and im nervous. They make me feel bad about leaving them, since, i will only seem them occationally, rather then everyday. Should I drop all my plans, and not move out...(This opportunity is a one time thing) or should I go ahead with it, and things will get better?

Before my mother died she confided in me about this. No one else knows in my family. My wife says to let it go. Part of me wants to help tend to my father's harm. These people may want/need to know more about the man who brought them into the world; you know, his health etc. What would u do? And, of course, time has passed, and I'm not sure how to find them.

I have twin boys age 5. Their dad does not live in the home. He's been in trouble with the law and is also homeless he blames me for his homelessness because I lost my job and went to apply for aid and now he is forced to pay child support. When they used to go visit with him I was worried if they would get fed, or were they gonna be roaming the streets and he only wants to pick them up when he gets his SSI check which is once a month. I have a new boyfriend and he has been helping me with their dicipline and he tells me that he can visit them when he can provide them with a stable place to go to but I don't want that to happen because they are now starting to respect me and I know dad will probably brainwash them with something. Please help!!

Well my dad is married to my stepmom for about 2 years now. She is deaf and for all deaf ppl they say the world is out to get them. She says she doesn't like me because of the way I am and I'm not changing myself 4 her! She got mad at my grandma cuz my grandma didn't pay attention to her when my dad was in the hospital. I just left my dad's house last nite (I called my mom) and he knew I left but I lied to him and told him I had a huge report due. So I came back to my mom's and told her what my dad told me about my stepmom hating me and my mom got a little mad but I found out more about my family than I needed to know and I can't handle it and I'm about to fall apart. So I don't think I'm going to my dad's anymore. I've had thoughts of suicide but try to get rid of them but I've been depressed since I was 9 years old (I'm 14 now). What should I do about the suicide thing, and what should I do about my dad? Should I continue going to his house?

My son is 10 hasnt seen dad in 8 years. My husband is the only father he knows. Also his sperm donor has at least 4 other kids. He also swore he would go from one state to another to avoid paying child support, and he has. My husband now wants to adopt my son. How do we try to get his parental rights terminated? does anyone know the process. (sorry for the drawn out question)

He says he only wants to spend time with me and not my family. Says my family always looks at him wierd bec he is Mexican (I'm white), but my fam is not prejudice, I think he is making this up as an excuse or just doesn't want to hang w/everyone...we have been togaether for 5 plus years...do not live togeather though...there have been the usual ups and downs of a family, fights etc but my family is accepting and welcoming to him. He will come over for a little while but then he leaves. Sometimes he says he will come and ends up not. I know he loves me but I don't get him. He also has a big family his own self and is like the caretaker of the whole family, they are all adults but he is the responsible one.Do you think this is normal or acceptable..what would you do?

This is aimed at Christians but all are welcome.

Will you celebrate Halloween? If not, why? Because it is a Pagan holiday? (Yes, Pagan, not Satanic which is totally different) If so, did you know that almost all Christian holidays take their customs from Pagan holidays?

Valentine's Day- Imbolc, celebration of the virgin Goddess bride and the unbridled, pure love she has for the Sun God, give love letters to a crush.
Easter- Ostara, the defeat of Winter by the Sun God, his consumation with the Goddess, paint, hide and find eggs to symbolize fertility.
Halloween- Samhain (pronounced SAV-ayn), the New Year, out with the old, in with the new, jack-o-lanterns and costumes to scare away evil spirits, milk and cake (now candy) offerings to the spirits of ancestors left next to the front door.
The one I hate to bring up, Christmas- Yule, the longest night of the year. Presents are an accidental similarity, but the tree comes from a custom of praying on the Yule log to burn all night.

My mother and my biological father dated for seven years before they had me.Once my father found out my mother was pregnant he started making all these false accusations such as she was cheating on him and/or that he wasn't able to have kids.(This was a bunch of b.s. and after I was born the court proved him wrong.I was declared his child by paternity test). On the day I was born, my grandfather called his mother and told her the happy news-she swore at him and slammed the receiver down. Shortly after,my father came to the hospital with his mistress who had given birth to his son just a month before. He cried and acted like he cared but that was short lived. He came around a hand full of times (drunk so my grandfather had to kick him out) and then not at all. When I got older I started to wonder about him so I tried contacting him but his number was unlisted.I recently found out he passed away.I have tried to contact his family but they won't respond.I feel rejected and worthless.

One of our family members enables several others. They are prescribed pain medications, but when other family member "hurt too much" they give them to them instead of taking them. They tend to accept any type of behavior as okay, even when someone sleeps throughout the day and does nothing to tae care of themselves.
One family member has lost everything they had, house, job, car, everything, yet they still treat her as a baby. For another one they conviently overlook her addictions as well, but since she lives in another city, she can choose when and where they see her.
I am steadily losing family members by death or by jail, and yet they still cannot see what destruction they reek when they "help out" one of these succubis. They are throwing their life away, and might land in jail themselves for someone who does not care. What would you do? I can't call their doctor, or the law. Thanks for any advice.

that your sister's bf was cheating on her? There are signs everywhere. She found an opened wrapper to a brand of condoms they never use hidden under their bed. It's not like it fell and landed under the edge, it was an arm's length under the bed. She asked her bf about it, he said he blew it up and popped it. The bf and the "floozy" go to the store which is about 2 minutes from here, and they stay gone for at least an hour. My mom and I have both tried to explain to her that she needs to talk about it with them, but anytime she tried they get defensive. What else do you all think can be done? Should I stay out of it and let her wreck her own life, or keep trying to convince her there's a problem?

It's my little brother's daughter, and his wife passed away a few years ago. My niece is now 12 and since I'm the only adult female in her life that she can talk to, I was wondering if I would be totally out of place to tell her just what she needs to know for now.
She's asked me a few questions about that earlier, but I just try to avoid it for right now..... Should I ask my brothers permissino before I tell her anything??
I feel that she should get the REAL facts from someone that knows something about it, and someone that she can trust, and not from just some friend or an older girl at her school. I just want some advice........
Please and Thank You.
