MY BROTHER HAS JUST TOLD MY PARENTS HE IS GAY AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME AND MY THREE SISTERS AND ONE OTHER BROTHER,BUT MY GAY BROTHER HAS TOLD MY PARENTS HE DOESN'T WANT US TO KNOW,WE ALL ACCEPT IT AND WANT HIM TO KNOW WE ACCEPT IT BUT THIS WOULD CAUSE PROBLEMS WITHIN THE FAMILY,
WE APPRECIATE HOW HARD IT MUST HAVE BEEN FOR HIM TO ADMIT TO BEING GAY AS THE REST OF US ARE ALL MARRIED WITH KIDS,WE JUST WANT HIM TO KNOW WE ARE OK WITH IT AND WE LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT.

My parents has been divorced for several years, they don't get along and my father is an alcoholic. My 21st birthday is comming soon and I didn't invite him. He sent me a message saying "My girlfriend and I WILL attend your 21st"

i would not usually write a question like this out of embarrasment but i would feel better if people could tell me their views on this matter.

i am 20. i am currently going to college and i will graduate in a year and a half. I currently live in my parents apartment and can not move out until i get the job i am majoring in. I currently work part time in my school but that money goes only for my transportation and school related things. Lately i have been having a really hard time at home. I do not get along well with my father. We are always at each others nerves due to the fact that our home is small and he basicallly has always had to dominate over every aspect of the home, it is often overwhelming. My mom often sides with me over some of the fights we have but tells me that i have to put up with it until i move out. i have always had some resentment and pent up hate towards my father for many reasons, i am often not at home but when i am i am never in a good mood.

I hate my dads guts he used to beat my mum,brother and myself he also used to rape my mum in front of us i havent spoken to him in years and years but i have a 2 year old son do you think i should let my dad have contact with him then again im unsure if he would want contact its just been playing on my mind my son has no granparents help!!

my dad just recently got a job up north and is only home on weekends so i live with my step mom who i absolutly dont get along with! and my mom lives in alabama and i really dont want to live with my step mom but i dont want to just up and leave my dad... and things havent been going to well, like with school and this one guy... and i'm really scared that if i stay here then i'll do something stupid. the only thing that's keeping me here is my friends but there should be more.... i'm just not happy anymore :[

My fiances mother and I got along up until this past Mother's Day. Both my family and his have very close family values so the holidays are always difficult. We have worked out a system that is perfectly even, one year his family, one year mine. They live about 2 hours away from us so it is difficult to see both sides in one day. Last Mother's Day we told her we would be coming to visit on the Saturday before Mother's Day because we were going to be with my mom on Sunday. She told him to "Have fun with his new family" and hung up on him. She has not called us since. He is waiting for her to apologize (which isnt going to happen) and he is the type that avoids things. We have been to some family functions and she acts like nothing ever happened but still won't call us or come over. We are getting married in 6 months and I need addresses from her and some music selections....also, I just want things to be normal again. What should I do??

i need help in trying to talk to my father whom i haven't talked to in years he lives about 100 miles from me i need to resolve some issues with him he disowned me in 1992, he wouldn't talk to me cause of his wife now exwife, but he has a new 3rd wife now and i would love to talk to hime can anyone give some very good advice in this matter. He has always stuck close to my other brother whom im not close to either. My grandfather died in 2000 and i saw him as a father but my father won't be a father to me and these are the times that i really need him. I don't even have his home phone # or addy. His wife now has girls and they treat him like he is a piece of dirt but won't have nothing to do with his own daughter that won't treat him like they do course they are alot younger than me too, there only teens.

I was crushed by a 2 ton battery that with out a great group of work friends to move that battery i would be dead now i got a broken coller bone and i am now fighting to come to terms with it .I love my family and my other half more than words can say but find it hard to tell her HELP.

I would tell all single white men to boycott and not give out candy. Remember, in the eyes of the American family - we are all considered pedophiles. Childrens Moms tell them to stay away from that solo guy living alone on the street. He is a pedophile. I learned this the hard way, when a little kid on the street rode his bike by me and called me a pedophile. Keep in mind, I have no record for this sort of behavior. Ok everybody has done things as teens and young adults that may not have been the best idea in hindsight but how do you handle the drug situation now if you have a young adult who is drinking illegally, occasionally alone, and possibly stealing it from work and smoking pot in the house when they think no one is paying attention and possibly other drugs? Works very part time and takes a few college classes but doesn't wake up in time to get there sometimes.

Do you back off and hope it's just a faze or do you take action and if so to what length? I ask because my significant other is going through this will their 19 year old and it is causing chaos in our house. There is also a 15 year old and 14 year old to consider.

He also tends to lie or say it's none of your business if you ask anything like where he is off to or details to a particular incident

One time at this party my dad was talking to his friends, they were drinking. Me and my mom overheard my dad tell his friends that my mom liked to toss his salad. My mom got mad but I don't know why. I've seen her make him salads before and she tosses them, so why is she mad?

I am taking care of my 8 year old nephew and 2 year old niece through dhs. they have separate fathers and their mother lost her parental rights. I am on the verge of adopting my nephew and I would like to adopt my niece, her father's trying to get her back, I know he loves her and she needs her father, I wouldn't want him out of her life, but, we love her too. What's in the best interest of the child be considered, not just his parental rights, we are very attached to her and I know us taking care of her was temporary. But, my other worry is that her and her brother are very close and I don't want them to be separated, he already lost his mother and father and now he might lose his sister. I would like people's feedback on this matter.
