Diapers, clothes (they grow so fast), you could also give money...that helps a lot too....everything is getting to where it's so expensive..Ask the baby's Mom what she needs for the baby is another suggestion...

Anything for a baby really...at this age baby's don't really play with toys yet so something more suitable might be some outfits, diapers, wipes, baby soaps...something I found really great when I had my son who is now 7mths old was my aunt got him a scrapbook & memory book which will be treasured for the rest of his life. If your not really into spending money you could help out with your nephew or even watch and take care of him for a while...This will help eliminate stress on the new parents....Less stressed parents make happier babies and everyone likes a happy baby!!!!

I would get a baby book. Halmark has a really cool one with even a page for the first hair cut. It something that your nephew can always have and his parents can enjoy it too. I always wished that I had a baby book, but since my mom died when I was a baby my dad never mad one for me. All my other siblings had one

Something maybe most will not purchase a Savings Bond of $100 $50 or more; it has 18 years to mature so your $100 gift that costs less than that to purchase now grows and bares more than $100 when he is 18. Something he can use when he can enjoy it instead of now when everyone is purchasing items that he will never remember.

Babies at that age milks and sleeps all the time. If you really want to get him something at this stage - go for outfits and booties or perhaps if you are willing to slurge - a new cot.

I also agree that savings bonds are perfect - you'll need his SS #.
