My older brother and I used to be close growing up, but as the years have gone by and since we have both married, we have grown apart.
Just recently he moved back to this country with his young family and My husband and I caught up with them.
I found him to be very aloof and strange, and very, very distant. It hurt me a lot... He has shared some things with my mum, one of them being his concern for his 11 year old daughter. To me, she is perfect(and probably is) but to him she is rebellious. She is restricted in a lot of ways socially - not allowed to bring friends home, have birthday parties, must dress in a certain way etc.She is very shy and I see a lot of myself in her.. But then he said something
something very strange to my mother the other day which got me thinking. He said, "I always remember _ _ _ _ _ (me) in this photo where I am wearing a blue dress. I was so sweet and so innocent. And then he said"Why do we have to grow up?Is he referring to his own daughter?

ok im 17 and i am over weight but i have been working out and i lost about 10 pounds and i was really proud of myself but then i got the flu this week and i havnt been able to keep anything down so i lost even more weight and then my dad told me i was fat but the week of not eating and trowing up really did me some good! i dont ever want to eat again.
any advise?

I am 15 years old and ive been gettin beat by my dad
Last night i was trying to get a drink of water but he wouldnt let me
he threw our big tv romote at my head. He hit me with his fist more than 10 times in my face and to the head. I have a black eye
and bruises everywhere. He banged my head agasint our front door and i ran upstairs and crawled on my bed he grabbed both of my legs and i hit my head on the metal on my bed. Ive been chocked and slapped, hit in the head, kicked in the back. I tried to call the police he took all the phones and my cell phone. This has been goin on since i was 5years old and 10years later (15years old) it keeps happening. Somebody plz help me, my dad said i was nothin to him. im jus dieing cuz wat 15year old gurl wants he dad punchng her in the face. HELP

I am really concerned about my husbands father who lives abroad. His daughter and ex wife live there also. I was recently told that he had senial dementure so I said it was ok for him to come over here to stay with us, but I have recently found out that he is an alcoholic and that he doesnt have senial dementure. I feel that I have been deceived into thinking that his father is really ill just so they can send him over here, I really dont know what to do. I feel that if I say no I will look very selfish but Im really concerned as my partner and I both work full time so no one will be here to look after him in the day. I also know that my partner does not want him here, but will not say that to his family.

The mother calls on and off to speak to the baby and requests for him to bring the baby to see her (which half the time she never shows up) He brings the child to mcdonalds or somewhere to meet her. should i allow this? the interaction between him and the mother? should i be jelous of their bond? i do love him and don't want to leave him over this. i just have concerns emotionally. any advice would help. thanks!

I'm thirteen and my mom is such a fag.[but i love her.] So I was at a party the other night and one of the single most hottest boy in my class asked me to dance, so I said yes. The party was coming to an end and guess who is standing at the window to see me and this adorable boy grinding... my mom. She was so completely appauled she has locked me in the house and when I ever I try to escape, the alarm goes.

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO VENT!! I cannot stand my step-son! My husband and I have been married just over 3 years. I've given my all to try and be a good mom to his son, since his own mother never gave him any morals or good examples (she used to smoke pot in front of him!!). I treated him like my own girls. He lived with his father and I since we got married, his mother could not handle the responsibility. He was unruley as a young child, and was diagnosed with ADHD. I took that into consideration over the years. Being the smart *** as he is, he would always have an answer, you could never have the last word. Never ever would he lift a finger to pitch in around the house unless he was asked directly, or left a detailed note. This past year has been the worst. In April he went to live with his mother (not too far away). He is now 17. Last year he was accidentally shot in the eye with a pellet gun, and is blind in the left eye. (continued)

My daugther is 4 years old. She sleeps by me with me and my husband. Do you think she should stay alittle bit more with us in our bed or do you thinks shes ready to go sleep on her own. I am divorced, the custody was given to the mother,and I have been working abroad for years, I didn't have chance to see her altought I tried many times, flying from overseas many times, I wrote letters, I send her my phone nr and presents, but obviously all this were taken away by her mother. How she would feel?

For the past 4 years i have been living with a man who i have a child with. During these years i have suffered the endless consiquences of his actions i have been yelled at, hit, kicked and cheated on and abused in every way.
My family has no idea and happen to own the home we share together. My family love him dearly and i cannot seem to shake the typical "its all her fault" frase. All mylife i have been abused in (simular fashion) to whats occuring now and finally things are looking good with my parents however its because of a false deception i have once again created. I feel trapped and dont know what to do. I have no money as my day is spent cooking, cleaning and taking care of my little one. His Family hates me and i have no support there??? What should i do and where do i get help to do it. I cant keep going on like this, i want to protect me and my child from him, now and forever PLEASE help??
