Try to contact her through your side of the family--your parents, brothers, sisters, etc.

How do you know for sure they were taken from her mother? You don't unless she told you. DON'T send money, though if you think mom is taking phone numbers and presents. Don't ya think she would take the money, too? You need to call her, e-mail her, VISIT her. I agree, take her shopping and let her pick out some things. Take her to a theme park for a weekend and build some memories for BOTH of you. My daughter and her dad only saw each other twice a year, and this is what they did to keep in touch. They loved every minute they got to spend together.

That really is sad. For any parent to deny the relationship between parent and child. The only recourse would be to take her to court. Difficult since you are overseas. What you might consider is having a relative help you find an attorney here and file the necessary paperwork to pull her and your daughter into court. At 12 years old, I'm sure she would love to have you in her life. Good Luck!

I think that she would probably like things that arent very child-like that make her feel still like a little girl. you should buy her things like an ipod not little barbies or dolls I know this because Im only a year or two older than her and I still remember what I wanted when I was her age. So in another words buy her a thecnology related thing or buy her some stylish clothing that doesnt say or relate to little kid clothes you should do this because she is almost a teenager and wants to probably feel like one.

Before you start right in with the gifts try a letter or a phone call. Then start with giving her a gift. Remember you are not trying to buy her love. Maybe a gift certificate for her local mall so she can get what she wants teenage girls can be hard to shop for. Good luck

Give her a cell phone & have your number preprogrammed for her. A locket with a picture of u in it so that she can have u close to her heart. Write her a letter with the present & let her know that u love her & miss her & want to see her. Take care

I have 4 daughters and I finally got it right the last time.
Get your daughter the full package of perfumed soaps and personal care items with deoderants, hair care make ups etc etc.
Every birthday, Xmas and sponteneous occassion, stay with these items and you will never go wrong.
You will have something that she will always look forward to. That will also become a communication topic, and believe me she will never forget your presents...You will make her day

your daughter needs a father in her life, so take the time and go see her. Spend some time with her the whole day.

Your TIME.... spend your money on the trip it would take to go see her and actually be with her! Then you can take her shopping and let her pick a couple of things she'd like.

Your time and presence. Go see her...mother won't let you? Take her back to court. Your daughter needs to see you on a regular basis, call her, go see her often..Presents are bull****, you can't buy her affections.....
