I loved a custom blanket from "things remembered" with Her name on it and a message We love you. It will be something she can hold on too for comfort when she misses other loved ones.

It sounds like you want this to be a special moment between you and her. Just take her out to her favorite store or mall and let her get whatever she wants (if you have a limited budget, maybe talk this over with your mom and borrow some from her). then take her to dinner. Another thing is that you could do something like crochet her a cute headband or make some hair clips with beads. Handmade gifts are always very special and plus you wont have to give up all your money to her shopping wants and needs.

Depending on your budget....
I am getting my 16 year old neice one of those banana bags, apparently all the girls love them now.
Try ebay for some bargains as well.
some other suggestions
gift voucher -from Kmart, or bigger Department store
pair of boots for the winter
new pjs
subscription to a magazine, ie Dolly...
Cd's
Make her up a scrapbook(of her life so far)
Take a nice picture of yourself and place it in a nice frame
A free photo(glamour shoot)(She will love this!!!)
voucher to have nails done
voucher to have a foot massage/pedicure
voucher to have a facial

Write up your own free vouchers ie:
This voucher entitles my sister to a weekly home made breakfast(and make her breakfast for a week)

This voucher entitles my sister to a homework free week(offer to do her school homework)

This voucher entitles my sister to me doing her household chores for a week, ie making her bed, doing her laundry, etc.

Or...better still shout her to lunch or a lovely big bunch of flowers...
I just read your late additional note about your loss.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about this,
here is another suggestion.
Do you have a lovely photo of your brother or one of your brother with the whole family?
Why not have it enlarged and placed in a really lovely frame to give it to your sister as a kind of memorial.
Or write a poem or make up a little scapbook about your brother and how special he was to you and your sister.

You are such a loving sister to do this,
do hope you are keeping well yourself and healing after your great loss. God Bless you... : )

How about a mall gift certificate. You know one of those that can be used at any store in the mall. Or give her cash and a homemade certificate for lunch to her favorite restaurant on you.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I would get her maybe a jewlery box, or something of that sort that plays a song. The song could be a song that means something to you both. That would be really special.

give her something you can both look back on in years to come. Go to a concert, take her to see her favorite comedian/ballet and share that moment with her. Money & vouchers are aa cop-out, it says you cant be bothered.

What's her fave things? Movies, clothes, cd's??? A gift certificate is good somewhere. Maybe take her out & buy lunch or dinner and just hang out at her fave spot.

it depends how old you are, if your younger, try a gift card to one of her favorite stores and a nice homemade card. if your older, a homemade card is still nice with a gift card to spa, or a nice dinner out on the town. if you dont want to spand that much, try making a scrapbook of all your favorite memories.
