My son is 10 hasnt seen dad in 8 years. My husband is the only father he knows. Also his sperm donor has at least 4 other kids. He also swore he would go from one state to another to avoid paying child support, and he has. My husband now wants to adopt my son. How do we try to get his parental rights terminated? does anyone know the process. (sorry for the drawn out question)

Even if someone does give there opinion, I've learned from personal experience, that laws varies state to state. Just call a Lawyer and you'll get free advice over the phone. Good Luck.

Tell the biological father he won't have to pay child support anymore and he will probably sign the papers to let him be adopted. I've seen that happen a lot.

talk to a lawyer about a "forced adoption" if it's allowed in your state then there's nothing that the dead beat can do about it. that's the process i'm looking at doing and my daughter's only 3 yrs. old.....................GOOD LUCK!!!!
hope it works out for you

You need his father's consent. Otherwise, parental rights are sacrosanct.
