I live in Brazil since I was 3 but I am from Uruguay, I like Brazil but I always missed my country.
Here in Brazil I have a pretty miserable job, no friends at all but there are 3 kids that I love, my 4 years old godson his 13 years old sister and 12 years old brother, I know them for ever, since the girl wasnt even born, I am their 2nd mom, always be there for them.
They are very poor so I try to help their mom as much as I can because their dad died, but I do more than just help, I prepare their birthday, take them to fun places, so if I move I am afreid that they are really going to miss me, what should I do? I am not happy here, I really would like to go back to Uruguay.

When your mom hurt her back really bad and you come home on labor day weekend and babysit her grandkid, which isn't yours, but she still goes a hundred mile an hour doing chores like clothes, clean house, dishes, and you tell her to stop and go rest because you'll do it. But she still insists!! All that time she complains about back pain. Suggestions?

He is a good boy don't get me wrong. He does great in school and does his chores her at home. But I can't get him to stop lying, I don't like it one bit. I don't know when he is telling the truth or when his not. I want to be able to believe my child when he tells me something but I just cant. Please anyone give me advice??

I am a Divorced father who has his children from Friday afternoon through Monday morning every week. My parents watch my children for me (9&11) every week on Saturday from 9-4. I usually ending staying until 9pm on Saturdays. This week is labor day weekend, and I had originally made plans to stay late Saturday night with my brother and sister coming over. Because of the heavy rain, they changed everything to Sunday without discussing it with me. I have things that need to be done getting my children ready for the first day of school (Tuesday). They have pre-class projects to work on for class, and I was looking forward forward to spending some time with them before the school year throws everything into wack (projects, homework assignments, etc.)
My parents are giving me a guilt trip for saying that I won't be over for Sunday. My brother and Sister have no school age children so they don't understand. Am I right for not coming over?

We were together 2 years before we broke up I actually left him because he didnt appreciate me, never spent time with me,he constantly acused me of cheating when i suspect he was. He is a wealthy guy and feel like because he has money and business he is untouchable and i should feel honored to be with someone so established. After I left I found out i was pregnant i told him because i was considering abortion he disagreed and said he would raise my child but he has a daugther that he dont spend anytime with at all he pays a nanny to watch her. I call him everyday and invite him to every appointment he never come i am now 25 weeks pregnant with a boy. He show now interest i thought maybe because he has not been able to bond with me since i have been pregnant because i move to another city, so like i said call him daily and i even went to see him, sometimes i call him 5 or 6 times a day he doesnt answer or call me back. I've heard he is seeing other people but he lies about it.

I'm tempted to get them a gift certificate for a nice restaurant but I've done that before. They like the outdoors, travelling and taking photographs, he likes painting, she likes to read a lot, they both have a good sense of humor, don't like to cook. Any ideas would be great, thanks.

A member of my extended family was dumped on her sick grandparents when she was 3yo. Her mom left her & never came back for her. The grandparents did the best they could, but the girl really had a very difficult time growing up. She's a very sweet girl, very polite & thankful for everything she gets. She wasn't taught the value of an education, morals.... you get the idea. The first guy who came along who "loved" her really swept her off her feet. She had a baby at 17yo & of course now the guy is gone. She's not on welfare, she works & tries to make it on her own. We told her recently if she ever needed anything to let us know.
Lately she has been calling or coming over a few times a week needing money for gas, food, asking us to babysit.
We love her, but we are not rich, not even comfortable. We do what we can for her, but just can't keep giving. What should we do? Is there anything we can tell her without hurting her feelings?

My dad said I should "thank my lucky stars and any other dad in American would tan my butt until I couldn't sit comfortably for a week." I don't believe that I think he is exagerrating and most dads aren't that strict. Am I right?

See the roof pretty much fell in this week because I got in school suspension for mooning a boy at school. My dad went in and got the punishment changed to other things. He was mad he missed work to come in and grounded me for 3 weeks, no allowance for a month, extra chores. I keep computer though.

My mom passed away a year and a half ago. Dad and I have gotten along well until recently, and I have to admit, I haven't been exactly an angel recently but I am pretty attention starved, that's all.

I don't like the no allowance at all and I miss my friends and boyfriend. I asked my dad if I could just get the butt whipping if I could get ungrounded and get my allowance and he told me no if he did it would be something we would both really regret.

We moved from PA to OH about 3 years ago and ever since she has been so disrespectful to her stepfather and I. It has gotten so out of hand, and she wants to move back with her Nan (my mom), she tells us everyday how much she can't stand her life and us, and that she will runaway. Sometimes she can be pleasant and then turn in the blink of the eye. I don't know what to do, I have tried grounding her and taking away things that she likes to do, but nothing works. It is totally ruining our relationship as mother and daughter. I can't stand to wake up in the morning because I know the fighting will start all over again. Please any advice will do, I don't know if I should take her to the doctor to be checked for a mental disorder. I AM however, going to start taking her to a counselor to talk to. HELP!!!
