When I was a baby I was adopted into a great family. Often people ask me "how it feels to be adopted" or say "ohhh that sucks, I'm so sorry," but I feel blessed! Adoption saved me from a drug filled, poverty ridden life.

Is there anyone out there who was adopted and feels the same?

How many of you sit at your computers while your children rome freely and the only attention they get is you yelling at them for this or that? And when you finally get up your frustrated at them couse you had to get up and so you yell even more? Or when you get off here your mad at them becouse theyve made a mess like you exspected them to do the oppisite and how dare they?
Do you do this kind of behavior alot?
Do you feel you need to prioritize you time ,attitudes, and actions, reactions?
Are the points and levels on here more important then other responciabilities?

A fellow of mine has 2 daughters, one 13 the other 15. She makes her daughters wear those frilly pinafores (aprons) with straps that criss cross in the back and form a cute bow. I went to her house, the girls were wearing them and got kinda embarrassed. They said this is their mom rule, they gotta wear them even when someone comes to the house. It's a kind of tradition there. The girls hate them and get really embarrased when someone outside their household sees them in those pinafores. I asked my friend to let the girls take them off cause they were embarrassed and got a sound NO WAY! I told the girls it's not big deal, but they hate. It's true they look kinda cute, sweet and feminine in those pinafores. Really adorable. But is it OK their mom makes them wear pinafores? Does she have such right? The girls sometimes have to go out w/ their mom wearing the pinafores. My friend said the girls will have to wear them to school sometimes. I guess this will be kinda embarrassing to them

He does not like it when we are out, and people tell him he has a beautiful daughter, then she says his real name when she is calling him. he wants something else she can call him that makes him feel more personable in her life. thank you.

My husband and I are in our late twenties, and are about to move into our 1st home, which has been built from the ground up. It's a nice home (from our perspective), but we have family members who also buying a home --- six bedrooms, near the lake, etc. Well, my husband feels that they are constantly throwing it in his face. I try to explain to him that we are doing well, and one day we will be able to get a bigger home, AND to be happy for his other family members.

My 8 year old asked me "If you had to lose 1 sense, what would it be?" I couldn't answer and he said "I'd lose touch because Nik is completely paralyzed from the shoulders down and he can still see, hear, smell and taste, yet he's happy." I still couldn't answer but that's because I had a lump in my throat. What sense would you choose to lose if you had to? And do kids with disabled parents grow up with a different perspective on what's a good life? Nik's 8 year old son strokes his dad's face instead of cuddling him as it's the only place he knows he can feel. My son once said I was lucky to be in a wheelchair and when asked why, he replied "Well, at least it hides your bum so no one can see if its big or not!!!!" LOL Perfect answer or what?????
