Family - September 2006

I am 38 1/2 weeks pregnant and my mother n law has done nothing but assume she is welcomed into the delivery room. She is a kind women but really gets on my nerves. My sister and friend we have invited to be in the with us but we have NEVER invited her. In fact, we have told her no on many occasions. She is telling everyone on my husbands side that she was invited. How do i deal with this without creating a family feud? Oh and to top it off my husbands parents and i had a rough start in our relationship and are finally starting to enjoy each others company. I dont want to ruin it but i fear i will create hurt feelings by telling her no. But again I DO NOT WANT HER IN THE ROOM. Should i just allow it to avoid a problem or stand by my word in the first place? HELP!!

My mom and dad have seperated (soon to be divorced) and my dad left her with all the bills and my mom is driving me insane. She's been stressing out lately and I understand her reasons but she throws all her stress at me. Everyday she has something to complain about no matter how hard I try I cant please her, she even complains about my boyfriend about dumb thing (you can read about those things in my "should i look around question) and she even had me serve my dad for divorce without me even knowing I was doing so. I think she flipped her lid and i wanna get out, but I also want to be there for her and help her with as much as possible, what should I do?

My Sister in law forged a check of mine. She said she really needed the money and that she would pay me back. She has a three year old son and said that they were going to shut the utilities off. If I press charges she will have a felony and mabe go to jail. It has been quite an ordeal for me too trying to track it all down and make calls and what not. So just saying give me the money dosen't feel like it's giving me any justice. And if I do there will be some tension in the family I don't even know her that well. What should I do?

My husband is with me 100% on all of this. He made the choice to send them home and he knows how I feel and bad to say right now he won't even call them because he is still so mad. It hurts because I see my kids and the relationship they have with my husband which is great and they also have a wonderful relationship with their dad and his live in. We want all of the kids around just don't know how to do it and I don't want to hate them they are part of my husband and I want to accept them.

Although I have reason to I have to say I think I hate my stepkids and it makes me feel lousy because I do love their father and want him to be a part of their lives. His kids have hurt me in ways I won't ever forget, have abused and tormented my kids and made our lives miserable when they were here this summer for visit. I have helped his oldest and her husband and kids out with furniture and clothes for the kids, the middle one lived with us for awhile and I treated her the same as my kids and his son was treated the same when he was here. If I bought for my kids Ibought for them, if we took my kids somewhere they went as well there was never a difference made in kids. When the kids came down this summer they were sent home early because of them being rude, disrespectful, refusing to follow rules and being violent with my kids. It has been over three months and I still fume when I think about it. What can I do to mend it so they can have a relationship with dad

I have a mother in law, who is 80 something years old and she is so old fashion it gets on my nerve. What I mean by that is, if I was to wear a skirt she would have a problem with it. My daughter had a really cute dress on the other day, my daughter is 3 years old and she asked me, do you send her to school that way. I was like what are you talking about.. This is the weekend and it is hot out what do you want me too put on her. She also has a comment to make about everytime that I talk to my husband. She treats him like he is still a baby and I try to tell him to tell her to mind her damn business. I am trying so hard to be nice and not curse her out and I am about to blow up and let her have it..

Please tell me what I can do to avoid having a bad situation develop? My husband is to hard headed to understand and he keeps telling me that i am overracting...

i forgot to empty her trash can on her side of the bed and i left a mess in the middle of my brothers floor(sunflower seeds that spilled) and did not clean them up. so she came down stairs with her trash bag and i was in the bathroom. she came in there and tied that bag around my neck. it was so tight that it nearly strangled me. i was trying to pull it off and was struggling with it and she said . no, you are going to wear that all night stench and all! , i couldnt breath so when i went upstairs i pulled it off and threw it outside. a few minutes later she said, where is the bag?, i said i threw it away. she looked at me like i was her enemy and all of a sudden i told her to stop looking at me like that. i was going upstairs and she said, ill look at you anyway i want *****. she grabbed a night stick and came upstairs.... u know the rest. after the night stick was my dads belt.

I live with my mom and stepdad and 4 other bro's and sis's. I am the oldest (16), and i don't think i can stand them anymore! I don't go out w/ friends, don't have a phone,don't have a boyfriend,can't use my home phone, no,job,can't drive..Nothing! My family are JW's(don't really agree with all rules) and my biological father lives in Wash. D.C.(not a JW) and i really want to live w/ him, but i don't know how to tell my rents i want to leave. I am so stressed here and tired of being here, I love school just because i'm not home. Only problem is my dad use to beat my mom and he lives with women b/c he can't afford a house, but i don't have anyone else to live with? What should i do?
