Ha! Sounds like your mom is trying to scare you into staying away from porn sites. Occasionally I need to check the internet history of people at my workplace. A small number of people are smart enough to clear their history to prevent being found out.

When I see a cleared history I start checking temporary internet files to see what pages they've been too. It's not the fastest or most efficient technique, but it works. If you run a disk cleanup it can clear that part out though. Also make sure to delete any cookies.

The only way to totally erase all fragments of your activity is to re-format your hard drive. How computer literate is your mom? If she is a programmer (like me) you had best stay to the approved sites.
