A fellow of mine has 2 daughters, one 13 the other 15 yo. She makes her daughters wear those frilly pinafores with straps that criss cross in the back and form a cute bow. I went to her house, the girls were wearing them and got kinda embarrassed. They told me this is their mom rule, they gotta wear them even when someone comes to the house. It's a kind of tradition there, though only the girls have to wear them all the time. Their mom wears sometimes. The girls hate them and get really embarrased when someone outside their household sees them in those pinafores. They asked me to try to talk their mom out of that rule, tough they think this is impossible. Actually, I asked her to let the girls take them off cause they were embarrassed and got a sound NO WAY! I told the girls it's not big deal, but they hate. It's true they look kinda cute, sweet and feminine in those pinafores. Really adorable. But is it OK their mom makes them wear pinafores? Does she have such right?

I hope I'm not the only parent who gets embarrassed by her children. Tell me your most embarrassing or funny child story!

I'll start...I was registering my 4 year old son for school. He was walking along the colorful tile on the floor, one circle after another. I figured he was distracted enough so i began to fill out the paper work. Well, guess what? The tiles on the floor led right up to this big red button on the wall....the fire alarm. So, naturally, my son pushed the button and screamed with joy when it made a tremendous sound. Yes, the fire department came and I apologized a million times to the principal and staff....

My 12 yr old son has been terrible lately. He is the 6th of 8 children. He has become so mouthy and telling me he doesn't care what my husband and do to discipline him. ex: sending to his room, grounding, sitting on steps. He says we hate him and we just care about all the other kids. Which is not true we go to his sports events, school functions and really spend a lot of family time together and 1 on 1 time with him. Today he was having trouble finishing up his homework and said that he wishes the teacher would die and he hates middle school, then he couldn't find his assignment log and wanted me to help him, I refused because he just got done kicking chairs and throwing things. The bus arrived and needless to say he went to school without his log. I have never had this kind of problem with any of his older siblings. I don't know what more to do then to stick with my punishments. I try to reward him with positive things. He just feels the whole world is out to get him. Help!

My brother is in need of a kidney. When I found out I told him and my sister-in-law that he could have mine. Now a lot of people are making a big deal about it...like telling me...are you sure?....why dont you wait and see if your older brothers will do it, who are in other states at this time, I dont see what the big deal is....If it were your brother, sister, mom, dad, uncle, aunt , any family member wouldnt you do it?

The woman bartender works nightly at the bar next to our business. She is a widow...lost her husband a couple of years ago. I'm considered very attractive...in my midfifties, and she's the same age/overweight too. She brings "home cooked meals" to my husband frequently...everyone sees this and its caused some embarrassment for me. A few days ago she brought in some "slop" for him & gave him a rather long hug before she left to tend bar. We've been married 25 years and I'm trying to understand this all. This widow tells me"I don't have Nobody to cook for anymore." then smiles. She is not attractive at all. I don't consider her a threat, but would like to say the right words for her, to make her back off. My kids are perplexed by her also.
Any ideas out there?? Thanks!
Also, whenever I do go to this bar with my husband...she acts kind of goofy towards me, and discourages me from coming back in there when she's working.Do you think I have an over active imagination or what
