I went to Lourdes as a volunteer nurse 3 years in a row. On my final visit, I did go into the healing bath (holy water). Having tried for a baby for 10 years with no success with my ex-husband, my prayer was for my own family. Afterwards I did not give it much thought. I was due to return again the next year, Good Friday 1999.

I came home, met my current partner, fell pregnant and my little boy was born, one month early, on Good Friday 1999!!

He is my miracle. What do you think.

I have a smart 15 141IQ girl. She acts like she knows everything. She is smart enough to manipulate everything/one. What she can't manipulate, she lies and steals etc. She has a Jekell/Hyde personality. She knows how to be very sweet.
Every other day, I feel like giving up on her and let her find out how to survive with her attitude in the real world (when she turns 18). I've heard good things that she will 'grow out of it'. How truthful is that? What is your stories? She currently wants to be home schooled because she doesn't want to be restricted by a project deadline, etc. I think that she can't keep a job, if when she gets one, she tells the boss that she's not on time because of a phone call to her b/f or her make-up make her late. HOW/WHEN do I get though to her???

Should he be expected to be a good provider? Even if it means leaving his comfort zone and making major changes?? Am I being too demanding to expect him to be able to provide for the family without my having to work outside the home and leave the kids in daycare? I have four kids and a baby on the way and right now I work - but I want him to try to get a better job so I can be at home to take care of the kids. Not to mention the cost of putting them all in daycare!!!!
Honestly....what do you think???
Moms, Dads.....am I being too demanding??

My husband is a stay at home dad. We have a one car which I take to work. I know that he is going through something right now but I don't know how to help him other than encourage him that I love him. He seems to be having difficulty with the fact that he's not contributing financially. We have 5 children. Four of them are in school and we have a two year that he stays home with. We've been arguing a lot lately over petty stuff and I don't want to argue anymore. I don't know how to make him understand he has a huge job. It sucks because there are nights I have to work late and I know he needs a break too, from the kids and the house. Any suggestions?

We recently got custody a year and a half ago of my step-children due to lack of parenting on their mothers side. The daughter became sexually active at age 13 with boys in their early 20's. We've since moved her in with us, now she's 2 months shy of her 16th birthday and she's got the "itch" again (no, not STD, just the itch to become active again). We do not allow her to be with her boyfriend without us they do not spend any alone time together, yet she's found a way to be sexually active with him with us sitting right in the room watching movies with her and her boyfriend. How do we stop this from happening? If we forbid her to see him, she'll run away like she did at her mothers house. She's been an angel in the year and a half she's been with us up until now. Do we need to now sit inbetween them while watching TV, do we make them sit across the table from each other at dinner? This is insane, how do these kids get so freaking bold???

About 2 weeks ago she sent me an IM calling me a bi**h then sent another saying "that's right I called you a bi**h what you going to do about it?" She did it because I didn't voice message with her because I don't have speakers or anything. I just ignored the comments and let my husband try to expalin what happened to her, but she didn't think she had done anything wrong! I chose to ignore her and not escalate the situation. Last night she IMd me again saying "I was right when I called it the last time. You still are." I haven't even talked to her. I have spent the entire 3 years of my marriage trying to establish a good relationship with this woman, and I've done nothing to justify her behavior. Now my husband is furious with her and I think that by doing this she's ruined their relationship, which wasn't great to begin with. Please someone tell me why she could be acting this way and what should I do about it?

My stepmother is a total fake. I can't stand to be around her anymore.

She pretends to care for her step\children, but we know otherwise. It is all an act. When she drinks, the mask is dropped and she lashes out and says nasty things.

I have known her for 34 years and this has gone on for years. She is only 8 years older than me.

Along a similar vein, she gives some very odd and questionable gifts during the holidays:

1) toenail clippers
2) used clothing
3) presents intended for other people
4) dollar store items, like bear candles

This is not about the money -- it is about the care and thought taken when picking gifts. She doesn't care.

She is not all bad and has definitely improved her gift giving skills.
But she recently attacked me during a family gathering. I was in shock and couldn't respond. My husband was not there and no one spoke up for me. My family can't confront anything.

I am ending my relationship with her. How should I explain this my dad?

my son has asthma, so we dont allow anyone to smoke in our house! She told us that if she cant smoke in our house then she isnt coeming over! I said fine! I mean everyone else doesnt have a problem with the rule, after all it's my sons health. She is being rude about the whole thing saying whats the big deal, and smoke isnt goin to kill him! That remark pi$$ed me off even more! Is there anythin I can do about it or just let her stay away?
What would u all do? I am trying to keep my son healthy why doesnt she understand?

Is it morally right for a parent to not allow a child a social life, force them to believe in a religion they do not want to and ignore self-harm and depression from the child?
