Remember that I love you, know I'll always care,
whatever path your life may take, feel that I am there.
As I rocked you, my little girl, and soothed your tears away,
the little fingers on your hand, touched my heart that day.
A day has come when dark skies, make you feel all hope has gone,
but in time, the sun will shine, to cast your shadow long.
Look to see that shadow - look, learn and find,
behold, your silhouette is first - with mine, a step behind.

Daddy's Hands
I remember daddys hands folded silently in prayer
And reaching out to hold me when I had a nightmare
you could read quite a story in the calusus and lines
years of work and worry have left their mark behind
I remeber daddys hands how they held my mama tight
and patted my back with something done right
there are things that ive forgotten that I loved about the man
but I've always remebered the love in daddys hands
chorus:
daddys hands were soft and kind when I was crying
daddys hands were hard as steal when I done wrong
daddys hands werent always gental but I've come to understand
there was always love in daddys hands
I remeber daddys hands working till they bled
sacrificed unselfishly just to keep us all fed
if I could do things over id live my life again
and never take for granted the love in daddys hands
chorus repeat 2x
daddys hands were soft and kind when I was crying
daddys hands were hard as steal when I done wrong
daddys hands werent always gental but I've come to understand
there was always love in daddys hands

Tell her that, "Mom, you should be happy because grandpa was a good man and he will be inheaven right now. He is not gone forever. We'll meet him when we die. It only a temporary leave."
I'm sure she'll feel much better after that.

I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection.
~ Sigmond Freud
It doesn't matter who my father was; it matters who I remember he was.

My blood is your blood, oh dad, that runs through my veins
And it is your love that is sutaining me now, even in my darkest times, your love holds me they way you held me when I was a young child..Even if the sun doesn't shine on me today..you replace it with your laughs and our emeories together..I shall never forget..that I'm your baby girl and you are my loving Dad
