Way to young because he'll want to date through out his child hood and things go down hill in a hurry if kids are allowed to do things they are not mature enough for. Play dates are okay though as long as parents are supervising.

There is a certain age for doing everything. And five year old is way too young for dates, wait till he turns teen. I think you should attend a class on 'parenting'.

It might be considered a bit young but i will leave you with the following: I came across a little boy sitting on the curb, having a smoke.
I was shocked and asked him his age.
Seven; he replied.
I was horrified and ask him how old he was when he had his first cigarette.
Round about the same time i first had sex; he replied.

yes as long as there' no sex or making out involved. Little kids need a little girlfriend boyfriend when they are young. It keeps them from getting in trouble sometimes. It's just a friendship he has with a girl.
