Any idea where the silly game "PUNCH BUGGY" came from?

When you see a volkswagon you yell punch buggy & gently punch someone in the arm before they punch you!

I remember that all too well. When I was a kid, gently punches gave way to bloody noses.

Teens saw alot of them while on a road trip and started punching eachother bacuse of something some1 said.
