Pretend you never heard. If your brother wants to say sth, he's the only one who can do it. I wouldn't turn in my own brother even if he had done it on purpose.

I think your brother needs serious help.. not because of the knocking her over thing. As far as that goes, you should say nothing but why is he sneaking around an old ladies house looking at pet birds? To me, that is the weird part. The fact that he knocked her over and killed her was an accident that obviously wasn't supposed to happen. The bird thing... that's more than a little strange. When I first read it, I missed his age and thought he was a small child but 19 is a grown man and trying to look at pet birds without asking the woman????? worry about that.

You need to go to the police and tell them. There was a case here a couple of years ago where a kids accidentally shot a police officer and killed him. He was in the woods and didn't even know at first that the bullet had entered a police car let alone that there was an officer in the car that died.
His parents turned him in. He was younger than your brother but his parents still took him in to the police station and turned him in.

if ur story is a true one. u need to do the right and honorable thing. u need to tell ur parents and yes the police. what would u do if someone did that to ur grandma or another loving friend or family member? if u dont tell the truth ur just as guilty as he is. so plz make the right decision and tell the truth. I know u love ur brother all, but noone has the right to take another persons life for any reason at all.

Morally and lawfully of course you have to. However, as nice and effective as Yahoo Answers is this is not the kind of forum for these matters.
Talk it over with your brother and bot of you should call the police. The sooner the better. As is both of you have already committed crimes. He. B n E and manslaughter and you concealing evidence of a crime. Report this befor eit goes any farther.

Make sure that what he "knows" isn't just guilt and worry because a very old lady died. If it is found to be definitely true, go to the police only because it is the right thing to do. You see people getting away with this in the movies, but this isn't a movie. This is your life and try to live it right.

I think thats a no brainer hun.... As much as u r against telling because he is your brother. How would u feel if there was a chance someone had done that to your grandmother. U would want that person to pay for their crime. Besides its the right thing to do. Do you want that on your conscious for the rest of your life?

you should tell police but the thing is that he cant claim it was an accident now you will be putting your brother in a place where he will have a hard time proving this becaue the scene is a week old and cops probably didnt take evidence becaus ethey thought it was a fall

Are you for real???
If you are ( and i hope your not ) you gotta get your brother to confess to the police - they will then take that into account.
By confessing to you he has made you an accomplice after the fact- for which you too can be charged.
Do you really want the guilt of this over you for the rest of your life?
SPEAK UP - DO IT NOW

The important thing is that your brother got to look at the birds. Plus, just think of the trouble your brother would be in if that lady told on him? HE'S KIDDING YOU, YOU IDIOT!
