Some husbands are collectors and horders. Maybe its also a sign of having plenty---just to own. They can't part with old things even if they get battered, smelly, wornout and useless. Look on the bright side---he will not be the divorcing type and will stick to you however battered, smelly, wornout and useless you get!!
On the other hand he might be plain lazy and not want to even think of the hassle of disposal and changing comfortable routine.
He might also like pushing your buttons knowing that this is driving you mad.
Ignore the whole thing for some months. Then you gotta get scheming and do something that will force him to dispose of the old thing...Something that gets the local town authorities object to what he keeps in the car or some graffiti sprayed on by supposed local goons decrying his manhood or whatever---use your brains woman---just act innocent and never let him find out that it is you or he will get stubborn.

I would go about it in another way. Does this car have a sentimental value to it or could it be an older car that could be a muscle type car if fixed up? Find out these things. If it is neither then call around and find out how much you could get for it, if it is just junk then see what a junkyard will give you for it and so on. And when he makes a comment about something that he wish he could get if he had the money, then mention hey you could probably get that much from that car in the drive and then you could go get what ever he was talking about. Good luck.

Easy, all you need is a marker and a "for sale" sign! Write down a number someone can contact you and ask for a "best offer. If not just donate the thing to some charity. They can always fix it or sometimes they train young people how to fix cars with old clunkers like yours. They will come and pick it up for you. Problem solved!

Call the junk yard, I think my bro got like $100 dollars for giving an old car that he didn't want to them. I think they will come pick it up! Doesn't hurt to try if hes not doing anything about it. Good Luck ; )

Why not call and arrange for it to be towed off to a junkyard? You can tell your husband you know how busy he's been and you just wanted to save him the trouble! Problem solved.

If he parks it on the street without legal tags it can be towed, he either needs to man up and fix it or get rid of it.

LOL, laughed at the first answer!

Why not ring your local authority & ask if they do pickups of abandoned cars? Or sell it to a scrap merchant?
