has anybody stopped talking/cut contact with your parents?? why??

My mom. She never liked me she has a narcissistic personality.
She likes to manipulate and control people and is jealous of everyone. She favors my siblings because they have issues and it makes her feel in control. She left my dad when I was 8, he was physically ill and had two kids to raise. I moved in with her when I was older and she let my alcoholic stepfather verbally abuse me. She then learned my one brother sexually abused me when I was younger and did nothing about it..

She is sick almost evil and I can not have her in my life.

Nope, I never did that; but I have two children who I lost contact with. One for 12 years; the other takes spells. All I can say that as a parent, it's one of the most painful things I've ever had to deal with. And, I was a good mom. So...what do you do? You keep going with or without them. And that's what your parents will do with or without you. Godloveya!

I did at one time with my mother. My parents had recently divorced, and she wanted me to sever all ties with my dad, but I wouldn't, so she told me to pick either him or her, and I told her I wouldn't choose either, because I love them both. I didn't speak for my mom for 8 months, it was hard. To this day I have trouble sometimes with my mom giving me ultimatums, but I'm getting a lot better about handling it. yep, my father about ten years ago. he was one of those i'll take care of it for you and never did. Even though i should have done most of them for myself, i guess its kinda both our faults. he never tried to reach me since, so, oh well.
