I am the youngest of three and the only girl. I moved out when I was 16. My Mom has been divorced for years now and has needed my financial support ever since. I am a full time student, so I decided it would be best for the both of us if we just moved in together until she could handle things on her own. We got along well at first, but things have gotten progressively worse. On top of it all, for the past few months she hasn't been paying her share. I am working less since this arrangement so I could spend more time on my studies. This is becoming a real burden for me and the stress is staring to show in my grades. It's difficult to talk to her about this subject because she's my Mom and I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable. My friends say I should put her out, but that idea is unfathomable to me. Any other ideas?

I'm a nonspanker, not because it might hurt their "delicate psyche" but because there are better means of handeling the problem liek taking away of priveldges and video games and such. Spanking just seems barbaric and ineffective in my mind. If it were a good way to teach a lesson you would only have to spank him once. I'm not saying that taking away the xbox for a month or not letting them hang out with friends is 100% but i think its the most reliable alternative. What is your position and why?

We have known each other since 5th grade!?
And from 6th to 8th grade he would talk to me alot. He would always say that he hates me. And i would always tell him that i hated him too. But in 8th grade i asked him why he hated me and he asked me the same question, I would tell him that i didn't hate him. But he would insist that i hated him. Well he was a really annoying person. Lets just say we flirted alot. I would always tell him to stop talking to me, Because we would always get in trouble for talking to much. Even the teacher was suprised that we were the only ones talking all the time during class.I would tell him to stop talking to me, but he wouldn't listen to me, he would still talk to me, and we would always get in trouble. and i was the only girl he would do this to. Anyways since 9th grade up to now which were both going to 11th grade we haven't spoken at all. Even when we pass each other in the hallways. He wouldn't even say hi or anything. What should i do to get him to

he believed something his wife had told him. If we have to meet face to face again to attend a Funeral or Wedding should I confront him? Or just let sleeping dogs lie?

My mom grew up in poverty. When young, she worked hard 2 earn money so that her brothers and sisters can get proper education. When she married, it was not exactly a happy marriage but she held on for the sake of me & my brother. My father died 10 years back & she had to work again after a gap of 25 years.I became an engineer and my brother a doctor because of her hard work. i had a love marriage 3 years ago,not exactly against her wishes but she was not exactly happy with it either. Now, after a big fight, my wife has walked out of my home.and my wife has flatly refused to try to reconcile.
my mom, in her old age, has to witness all this. She is upset all day. I WANT 2 MAKE HER HAPPY, BRING SOME CHEER IN HER LIFE. HOW DO I DO THAT. PLEASE ADVICE, PLEASE HELP ME.

she needs diapers? (DEPENDS) She has Alzheimer's, but she is in total denial. My father is living, in mentally perfect condition, and taking good care of her. But I feel like someone needs to tell her before she ruins every piece of furniture left in their house! Not to mention the horrible odor she carries with her. I need to tell you when she was normal, she was very clean. Now, she showers once a week (not often enough), and wears the same clothes for a week. (Showers and changes on Sunday for church.) I'm disgusted, but I DO understand. I don't want to hurt her, but... Please no sarcasm. This is a serious issue, and I will just ignore sarcastic statements.

My aunt has always been a important part of my life, like a mother. But she did always say bad things about my mother. Now with my kids she is always telling me what Im doing wrong and how behind everyone elses kids my kids are and why it's my fault. Ive even heard herself accidently call herself mom a few times and Im wondering am I worried over nothing and she's just being a aunt or is she going to trash me to my kids like she did with my mom, and if so should that bother me or should I just ignore her

I have always found myself to be passive when it comes to my family, yet aggressive when it comes to friends. I would like to change this behavior and just be assertive.

my parents are wierd, we don't spend much time together, about 3 hours a week, max. And since they're always working, i have to take care of the house, make dinner and stay ontop of my homework. And i do it everyday of the year, EVEN, When I'm sick. And they act like they rule the house, when in reality i could easily change the locks so they can't get in.I maintain the house, when i do see my parents we do almost nothing but arguee, and i've been stronger than them since i was 10 so they stopped trying to beat me up as punishment, They may make the money, but i will be doing that myself soon. I want to just leave my house early (17) and let them see what happens to the inards of "their" house and what little relationship they have left. I really don't know when they come home every night, i just know that during the night i hear them about. Is it normall to resent them this much? How bout morrally correct for them to make me take care of the house for little more than food as payment?
