No one's life is truly ever secure. But if you mean is it okay to let your wife and kids use you for a bank when you are having money problems, the answer is no. Have a family conference and explain the situation. There is nothing wrong with your wife and children understanding that money doesn't appear by magic. Good luck!

of course to spend a little to make them happy is good, but don't be stupid to spend all. There's always a balance. Share with your wife your concern, and plan together. And not at the end of the day, she says: I didn't know that you are so poor, if I had known, I wouldn't have asked for this and that, you stupid husband!"

if your future is not secured then way spend money now? you know you will need them later i think it would be best in your interest to limit your spending. not say you shouldn't spend money on your family but spend with limit and you'll be very much happy that way. explain it to your family if they ask why limit the spending your smart enough to answer that question rite

No. What happens if you lose your job? What happens if there is a medical emergency or natural disaster? It's very important to have savings. It's also important to plan for your future. It isn't going to take care of itself. Also, shouldn't you and your wife be discusing this together? She kind of sounds like a child herself. She should understand the important of your future too and you need to plan for it together.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and if they want you to they are very selfish. spending money does not make a happy home, it will destroy it. there are lots of things to do together that don't take a lot of money. picnics, parks, bike rides, i am sure you get the idea. just spending time together should be good enough.

Sometimes you have to spend a little money to have fun and sometimes you have to put your foot down and say No. If you are the main breadwinner then you have the final say.
