Do you find it difficult to come from being passive to assertive?

I have always found myself to be passive when it comes to my family, yet aggressive when it comes to friends. I would like to change this behavior and just be assertive.

I am not passive and do not remember a time when I ever was, but I do find it difficult going from aggressive to anything else...espeically when I don't want to.

not nearly as difficult as coming from assertive to passive.
