it's all about how they're RAISED. i know and knew a lot of teenagers that were not stubborn, wild, wierd, rebelious, mean, bad, etc. because they were RAISED to be okay, polite, dignified and good. the rebellious teen is a person with very bad parenting/rolemodeling and may or may not snap out of it when they get away from home depending on how bad they're raised or what positive influences they encounter away from home.
IMO it's criminal that society does not recognize the impact parenting has on all kids - even those with so called mental challenges like ADHD, etc.

LOL You honestly don't remember?? We were the same way. Teenagers are stubborn because they know EVERYTHING! They don't realize their parents aren't stupid until they hit their early 20s. :)

Because if they are not stubborn, they are not teenagers!!!!

They are lookin for something and they havent't find it yet , that's why they are mad all the time, and .. stubborn.

Because they are going through a rebellious stage in their lives and they don't want to do anything you want them to do! They are going through a rough time-hormones, growing up, finding themselves, friends, boyfriends, wanting to fit in, trying to keep their grades up, etc, etc, etc, too many pressures....don't nag at them about the little things and try to remember what it was like for you being a teenager! :) (P.S. Don't forget the pressures of drugs, sex and drinking...)

lol i wouldn't say they're stubborn. just growing up. finding their identity right now. they are individuals you know. (we were all in our teens once, and i don't think i was "bad"). give them room to grow. and some guidance and direction when they ASK for it. of course discipline when they NEED it. but they shouldn't need too much of that if you raised them right during their former years.
