I just quit smoking last month because I had just delivered my son and didnt want it in my life...my husband said he'd quit with me, but took it back after I quit. We have so little money, and he gives me a hard time about what I buy, but he sets aside a budget every month for his smokes. He coughs so bad that it sounds like he's going to die, he wheezes horribly, and frankly I'm terrified for his life. I dont want to lose him. I've tried asking him to quit, talking to him about it, but nothing is working...what can I do? He just gets defensive and angry when I say anything about it, and I'm only scared to lose him...
What can I do?

My new boyfriend is a Greek plastic surgeon. He is loving and kind to me, usually. He thinks it is funny to say things that hurt me. For example, tonight he told me he was about to have sex with another girl, and last week he told me he was going to go **** an ex gf. There's this girl in my physics class that I don't necessarily like, but she has these nice light blue eyes, and everytime I look at her I instantly look away. I could probably have a staring contest with any other girl in there, but I just CANT look at her straight in the face, and shes gonna be my partner for an assignment. She has actually tried to come between me and my Son. Tells him that she wants to come out when he comes to visit me (in another state), but that she won't spend time with him and I. She doesn't know anyone out here, so it's an obvious attempt to just make him feel guilty. She's mad at me because I told her to let him think for himself. I got sick of her actually bragging about how she can control him. My Son is way to smart for this. I don't neccesarily want him to leave her as much as I want him to have some back bone and let her know she can't control him. Am I wrong and being over protective? Please don't be mean with your responses. This is my only kid, and even though he is a young man I still worry about his happiness and welfare.

So I cant hardly even go to sleep because my blood is boiling.I am just so mad because I was taking to my dad and he was like "Im working on Friday so I can buy presents,im working so I can buy present for other people(about how he has to work to give to other people than buying himself something like gloves probably)then hes like what do you think of that?"
Its like he wants me to feel sympathy for him,which I do,but he wants more of it.I mean no one asking you to work on friday to buy ANYONE a gift,were not holding you against your will.Why does he keep complaining about things that he doesnt even have to do?It just makes me even more madder when he cant even stop gambling 2 dollars at a gambling site when I have a birthday party so he can entertain the adults who feel left out He keeps telling me that once you have kids your life is over,and he keeps telling me about what he could be doing or have done if he never had kids

There is this guy, and he's my friend, but I'm kinda interested in something more. He extremly smart, and very witty. it's great, cuz we can argue back and forth, and I love that, but he's the kinda of guy who would never tell a girl how he felt. how do I tell what turns this smart, witty, funny guy on?
I would understand if he were a real ladies man, but he's not. at all. So, idk. there's times when I'll catch his eyes all the time, or when we're having a great time laughing at his brother or something, but how do i tell what these kind of men like??

But then you find out that they have been doing things behind your back and while there with you they act like nothings goin on!!! Lately, since I had my first true love, I feel that I cannot love at all. Yeah, I feel maybe a small attraction to some people, but I can't develop even a small crush. I know nobody is attracted to me (I have a curvy body, Curly hair and Acne, though I see people who have acne but everyone loves them). In my class we are doing social dance, and I have no choice but to sit out because nobody will dance with me. Someone wanted to last year, but I turned them down rather brutally because they were my first love and I was still hurting over him. I regret that now, but it happened so fast I didn't know I had done it until I had hurt myself. How can I find someone to love, and how can I make some new guy friends? The people I know are now all female!

And most of all, how can I get rid of this ache and hurt when I see this one guy (first love).

I´m a single mom that lives with my daughter, mom and grandma, its been hell all these years cuz my mother instead of being grateful of the fact that I´m helping them out and living there with them she instead tearts me bad, doesnt repect me and os always giving me real bad advice to hurt me, she is NOT a loving mother that wants the best for me, she is always wishing me the worst and never wants things to go right for me, she is very selfish and is the reason why me and my daughter´s father are not together anymore, she is selfish and only cares for herself, I´m so worried cuz her behavior on me is affecting me,my life is not good becuz of her, i have lost many things becuz of her and I dont know what to do anymore, I cant move out cuz I dont have money and I cant talk to her cuz I have many times but she doesnt seem to get anything...I dont want negavtive people affecting and disrupting my life anymore, i have no leg to stand becuz of her, i´ve lost so much...what can I do?

I met this lady about a month ago, and she seemed kind of forward to me at the time, but she was going thru a messy divorce and told me that her husband had been beating her, ect so I tried to help her as best as I can. She seemed to need a friend, so I tried to be there for her. But she kept calling and calling me. She also talked to my husband a lot. I grew suspicious that maybe she's after him because he is a really great guy. Then one evening I went to bed early and left my kids with my hub and her.

She started digging all sorts of information out of him about me. Next day she called me and told me some of what he said. Nothing big, just personal stuff. So I asked him and we talked about it openly, as we always do. It opened up some communication and we got closer.

He called her to thank her for telling me but when she found out we didn't fight she started shouting on him. Then she called me (I had already spoken to him and got the story straight from him) and told me all lies about him, that he threatened to beat her, wanted to meet her alone so he could hurt her, he wanted to take her dancing (I know, makes no sense!) ect. Actually it was really apparent she was LYING. She badly wanted my husband and I to fight, but we just talk and got closer instead. So now she was trying this new tactic.

She called my cell phone the next day, but it was with my husband as I had left it at his office. She apologized to him and indirectly started trying to convince him to go for divorce and why did he marry me, ect? (they are both from same culture, so she tried to use that to get to him.) He just hung the phone up on her and immediately called me and told me what she said. We both decided she was trying to be a homewrecker and we won't answer anymore of his calls.

BUT- and here is the big but- she keeps calling ME over and over again, leaving nice messages, ect. She keeps pursuing me. We are starting to think we were wrong about her motive, and maybe she is not after him, but after ME. And that makes sense because she told me that she hates men and prefers company of women. I didn't understand what she was telling me at the time tho. Now she called 16 times in the last hour and I am not picking up the phone. She is only calling MY cell phone, not his. I think her next move will be to show up at my door. She's like that. Looks like she wanted my husband and I to fight because she is pursuing ME. He also told me that whenever she talks to him it is ALWAYS about me, never about anything else.

I am interested in getting a third point of view here. Are we wrong? Should we give her a second chance? How do I react to all of this?
