My family has recently gotten back in touch with my uncle and his cruel wife. I am happy for my family bc I know these past few years have been difficult wo my uncle being there. But personally I'd rather have nothing to do with either one of them. They were very abusive towards me as a child (they were my primary gurdains for a few years as a child) Therefore, I'd like to avoid them as much as possible. They have invited me to a dinner party they are throwing next week and despite the fact that I gave them my word that I'd be there no matter what, I don't. Am I wrong for not going? Also, my mother keeps stating that they're the only family I have and I should try my best to forget the past. Is she right or am I justified with not wanting them in my life? My uncle isn't so bad. It's just that he does whatever my aunt tells him to do so I'm not sure if I should forgive him or not.

My fiance and I are getting married next Aug. I'm 23 and he's 29. He already has a 10yr old son who will be 11 in 2 weeks. He has joint custody of his son and is battling for full custody. We currently live together and I wanted to have a baby last year but he convinced me to wait until we are married. I know that we can afford to have a child but since he proposed this year, I agree that we should wait. The problem is that lately he's been bugging me to have a baby. This coincides with the fact that his dad died not even 2 weeks ago. It was really unexpected--he was only 61. Last year my grandfather died of cancer close to the same time. I remember feeling empty and sad and I said I wanted a baby too. I know that my fiance has expressed his preference to have more kids before he turns 30 in the past, but I can't help but think he's just trying to replace his dad. I still really want to have a baby but it is more practical to wait. My fiance is normally the level-headed one. Help!

my aunt wont leave my bedroom she sleeps in my room with me everyday and some nights like on weekends and fridays i like to stay up late sometimes and and watch videos or look at pics of Bill Kaulitz, Ville Valo, or Jonne aaron and i feel embarrassed looking at them in front of her like i know she goes to sleep but i know she really isnt sleeping but watching me so ya how can i stop her from sleeping in my bedroom i need some privacy at night. I have asked my husband several times to not look at porn, his first response was he didn't think it bothered me, he said he would stop since it does, I was thankful for his concern and trusted that he would quite. Time and time again, however,I have discovered that he still does, he says he doesn't have a problem with quiting but yet he continues after I have asked him to stop. We have had several conversations about it and swears that he doesn't do it anymore, but I discovered today that he is registered to the playboy site. What is going on? How do I deal with this?

A man is paying for dinner enough times so he can sleep with the woman and that is about it. The woman is accepting the dates/dinner so she can get a free meal or perhaps gifts. At least, a prostitute is honest; "real" women don't like to admit they are whores anyway. It's better if we are truthful and no one ends up with hurt feelings and wasted time.

We weren't doing anything at all but talking. I was sitting on the bed smoking a cigarette and he was standing up beside me. (The bedroom is the only room in the house I smoke in.) The friend had only been at our house for about 15 minutes when my husband got home. He was late getting off work and should have been home an hour earlier. The door was closed, but not locked. We have all been friends for years. I didn't think for a second that my husband would have been upset about him being there with me. Nothing inappropriate has ever happened between the friend and me. But, when my husband got home, he flipped out. He kicked his friend out of the house. He called me a lying, cheating slut. He acted like he had caught us in the bed naked. I tried to talk to him, but he completely shut me out. He went to bed tonight without saying a word. What in the hell did I do that was so wrong? How do I get him to talk to me about the situation? He's not usually the jealous type.

Over the past two months I became friends with this girl in physics class. She always makes an effort to talk to me and be nice, and even made me a cd for me a while back after she asked me if I liked a band. She also copied notes for me and asked me my number recently, so we could study together. When we got done studying and I was walking to my car she stopped and picked me up and we talked in her car. We went and got coffee at school the next day after she waited a few mins for me to finish our exam. She also dropped out of her lab project group to be in mine after I couldn't get in hers. She asked me to goto church with her recently, and we've studied together outside of school and I've hung out at her house a few more times. In passing the other day she said didn't want a relationship when talking about this guy from church that called her. We hang out at her house at least once a week (I have to ask her though), and she invited me to go w/ her to a christmas thing at church.

i recently went out with this boy this week, we talked for 2 months we really like eachother, he recently asked me out. We went out for 1 week and today i broke up with him because i was informed taht he was talking to his friend, that he was going to break up with me because i didnt want to have sex. But apparently he changed his mind, and didnt want to tell me that he wanted to break up with me. But i found out that he had this idea in his head from my friend who is in there health class, who he also told. So i automaitically broke up with him right when i heard this. He also said that the reason why he took so long to ask me out is because he wanted to have sex with me then make it offical. And i actually liked the boy, nd i think he actually liked me. OK so I'm in a weird situation here (as usual), yes even I get confused. >.>

The deal here is this:
There's this girl that I like, and I know she likes me as well (her friends are big mouths), and apart from that she constantly makes eye contact, laughs at a lot of my jokes, etc etc. But lately, once I started noticing her, it kinda got a little weird.

Now, she makes eye contact, but a lot of time it feels like she's thinking about something else and isn't exactly like a friend anymore, and it's always weird talking to her... because she knows it, and I know it, but no one talks about it, it's just one of those things...

So now I don't know what to do, whenever we make eye contact, either she's looking at me with sort of a sad face, or she's somewhat serious.

PS: I get confused easily, but I do respect her, and don't want her to feel awkward so I backed off, I minimally talk to her, apart from the usual: hello, hi, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Im really shy and dont really pick up signals well so its really hard for me to ask a girl out. A weke ago this girl I liked called me out of now where, I kinda got the feeling she liked me because I never gave her my number so she must have gone looking for it. She also called me a few days later to ask me to go to a party. She then sent me a text messgae a few days ago that I didnt reply to for a few hours and then when I did reply she never replied back. I have not taken any iniciative rely because I fear that shes not interested in me and is just trying to be friendly and I dont want to be shot down. I've noticed that many women still choose to stay with their partners even when they are not treated equally. They usually think of ways to 'impress' their men, yet they still get treated poorly. They ask questions like, "How can I impress him?" or "Will this dress make him like me more" or "Will this hair color turn him on?" In the end, these very same women get snuffed to the side, cheated on, or both.

This is my word to the "nice girls". Instead of trying to impress them, focus all that energy on yourself! If you don't feel good about yourself while being in a relationship, then break it off. The relationship is only worth keeping if and only if it brings you happiness. Don't think "Why wouldn't he date me?" or "Why doesn't he love me?" but think this: "How do I feel about myself after being in his company?" or "What is in it for me?" The sooner you place a high value on yourself, the better you'll feel.
