The ONLY way to know if someone is "the one" is by carefulo consideration with your head, not your heart. It is easy to be swept away with emotions when you are in love, but love is fickly. True love is a choice that has nothing to do with emotions. To find the right one, you need to first evaluate who you are and what you want. My advice:
Make a check list for yourself. 10 things that are non-negotiable. You MUST have these 10 things in a person or you will break off the relationship. This way you can gaurd your heart and choose the right one.

I knew almost instantly that my husband was "the right one." We met at a club when he was in the Military in the 60's. He was deployed about 2 weeks after I met him. We wrote each other almost every day for 2 years only seeing each other occasionally. We've been happily married over 35 years now.

Yes I have felt like that. In fact I feel like that about a person right now. I asked her out and she said yes and then broke it off, because she has a bf that she has been with for the past 7 years. She said that she really wants to go out with me but can't leave her bf because she has been with him for so long. I decided to move on. But every time I see her she is looking at me and it just hurts.

Yeah, I met a girl a few months ago and we had like four or five conversations and they were great, if you know me I am not the type of person who normally likes to talk to people that much, but I love talking to her, she is so good to talk to, I never felt this way about a girl before, but of course she has a boyfriend.

absolutely not in that small amount of time. i can say yes to your first question because i have been with my girl for almost 2 years and yes she is everything to me. i have also seen my roommate date someone online and on phone that he knew for 2 months and just yesterday, found out that she was just playing him because she was bored. He was telling me how she was perfect for him and how he loved her just to find out that this whole time was a lie. however it is possible because i have found that someone. just give it more time and be patient. it's impossible to know someone until you have lived with them for some time and know everything about them.
in order to love someone though you have to believe that you do all the time until you feel otherwise. continue to feel this way but don't get your hopes up.

The first time I hung out with my boyfriend I knew he was "the one". It's a feeling that can't really be described, but when it's there you just know it. We've been together for 4 years and still going strong. :)

my husband said that about me when we first met...i thought it was a line he was using on me...and that he was crazy. But 8 years later we are married and he is the one for me. As corny as it may sound
