Men, do you wish (or already make) the woman in your relationship take charge, be the provider, have the better paying more stable job, go to work when she's sick, AND be the full time mother, take care of you when your sick, and wait on you hand and foot? OR do you want her to be the "weaker" in the relationship.. to care for her, provide for her, support her so that she can focus on being a good wife and mother?

I'm just curious about other relationships out there. My husband and I have been married for 11 years and most of it has been wonderful. When we got married he believed that the woman's only place was at home caring for the kids. (But that she could work part time if she REALLY WANTED to.) After 11 years it has come full circle to a situation much like the first half of my question. I don't want to be treated as a "lowly" woman who can't do anything more than care for the kids, but I also don't want to be the sole provider and care giver for this family of ours. Opinions?

My husband and I are both 22 years old. We've been married for 3.5 years. He is in the military. I dropped out of my University school in 2004 to join him in his duty station. Now 3.5 years later he is nearing his military discharge. He is going to Iraq 1 more time in Feb and I am moving back to my hometown. I got re-amitted to the University that I dropped out of and will attend the Spring 08 semester.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM:
My husband convinced me to get off of birth control about a month ago because he is concerned about the long term affects. Well, this month I had a pregnancy scare because I was late on my cycle. I got my cycle and decided to get back on the pill. When I told my husband that I got back on the pill he flipped. Basically, he wants to wing it and if I get pregnant I get pregnant. He refuses to use a condom.
Isn't that selfish of him? Or is it me?

I mean, I am going back to the University and he is leaving to Iraq in Feb.

My husband refuses to try or to talk to me about our problems. I am tired of doing it all on my own. When do I stop and say Divorce? How long to I give it my all? We dont have sex, we dont talk, he told me he doesnt care about my feelings.. What more do I wait for? What holds me back is our kids. I could easily stay married to him, never argue or fight ( if I just went with the flow) but it would be killing me inside to live with him and believe that he doesn't love me. When do I stop trying? My husband and I have different views when it comes to having children. I want 2 and he wants 0. What bothers me though is that he was married before and she had a child (not his, by another guy) and he loved that kid to death. He still has pictures and talks about him at times. It bothers me that he loved someone else's child so much, yet doesnt want to have one with me? After long long loooong talks we've come to an agreement of basicaly, if it happens... it happens. We pull out, not going to any extremes to have them or not to have them. If we are meant to have children, we will. But I am still bothered at the fact that he loved that other child so much, yet doesnt want to have one now. Im not sure if its not wanting to have one with me.. or that he misses that other one so much he doesnt want to do that again. Should I be worried that if we do have kids, he wont feel the same towards them?

okay, i have totally decided that i am gonna send out announcements but i want to have fun with it as both our families are casual kind of people. totally laid back. small town arkansas if that helps any. i want to get creative with the announcements. i want to have fun with them. i wil lbe making them myself and would absolutely LOVE it if anybody had some creativeness about this to share with me! don't get to have my wedding but i'm now excited about some kind of project having to do with getting married. we were married nov 16th in another state that we moved to without family or friends if that helps any. help me have fun with this so i can have something to look forward to since the wedding is not on anymore. thanks y'all!

ok. so theres this guy. and in chorus i have seen him staring at me lots of times. and we have similarr interestss. but we nvr talk. and when we do. it turns out sooo wrong. likee once i told him a new trick i could do on my skateboard. because we both skate and i wanted to start up a conversation. But he just said cool and looked at me like he didnt care. Ok, last week I found out my boyfriend had been cheating on me. I confronted him about it at his place but he wouldn't admit it. We argued for a while until he finally admit he'd been cheating on me for 3 months.

I'm really not usually a violent person at all but that p***ed me off so much, I just punched him as hard as I could in the jaw. It knocked him out cold. I'm only 17. I'm athletic but not muscular (I'm a cheerleader) and he's 21 and pretty buff. I totally didn't expect it! I was just angry. He was knocked out for about 40 minutes. It was really funny, but when he came to he freaked out. He went to the cops and I've been charged with assault. Was I in the wrong?

Hi. I'm Laura. I'm 18, a single teen mom, graduated high school in June w/ honors. I'd been with my boyfriend for 3 years & I loved him more than I ever thought possible, despite the fact that most days he treated me like crap. Eventually I came to realize that it wasn't right for me to let him treat me so badly. It got to the point where I stopped caring about him romantically, you know? So we broke up about a month ago, & I'm feeling better than I have in @ least a year. However, now there's this guy @ work who's been calling me these past few days. I liked him a lot, but now I realize his intentions aren't good. He thinks just because I'm a teen mommy I must be a slut. To be honest with you I lost my virginity to my baby's dad. But because of my circumstances, my coworker thought I was easy and that really hurt my feelings. Maybe no one's ever gonna love me for who I am anymore, they'll just want sex . Should I try giving my baby's daddy another chance? Any opinions are appreciated.

Me and my boyfriend were together for 4 years. I loved him but he got another girl pregnant and we are still friends but he claims he still loves me. My boyfriend and I live together for 9 months and have been together for 11 months now. Last week he asked me to move out because he needed his space and needed to do alot of thinking and figure it out what he really wants. He told me that we're not breaking up and that he still wants to see me and hang out with me. He told me that he really loves me and cares about me and that I need to understand his wishes so he could think. I asked him if what he meant of Needing space is a nice way of telling me that were breaking up but he said No. He is not breaking up with me and that he wants to be with me. He just need to figure things out on his own. I do believe that he really loves me and thats why I moved out and stayed at my sister eventhough I didn't wanna move out from his place. I am sad but I hope he will be with me soon. I miss him but i tried not to contact him or text him. Should I ignore if he text me or call me if he wants to see me?
