Move out and get a job if you don't have one. Tell him not to bother till he gets a job....And find the dog a new home someone who will train it.....And put your foot down to no good coming through the door to live!!

Okay....1.) Consider training the dog with kindness -- no physical thumping. He has a fairly straightforward brain, but you have to keep everything away from him since his sense of smell is 10 times better than a human's. For example, teach the dog to sit by saying firmly "Sit," and gently put your hand on top of his hip. Dogs will naturally sit because this is the motion their joints go through when they sit on their hind legs.

2.) Get the lease on your home and go over what the landlord hasn't fixed. Find out if the lease says it is their responsibility or yours. Write a letter sent by registered mail to the landlord requesting repairs that are covered by the leasing agreement.

3.) Have a serious talk with the husband and let him know that bringing somebody home without checking with you first is definitely not cool.

Training the dog might be the easiest, but at least the dog listens.

Best of luck to you......Finn.

Just because you love someone, doesn't mean you have to be with them. Our hearts sometimes lead us down paths that aren't good for us. You deserve someone who can offer you a better life. And you should give yourself that life too. Someone here suggested getting a better job. Put yourself in the best possible situation you can, that way you don't have to rely on people like this.
