I think he wanted to say something cuter than that ... you maybe pretty and cute and he thinks you are cute.... cute as a mouse... lol ... guys are silly ... that statement is better than .. "Hey nice socks!" ... a guy told me that.
Are you bothered by what he said? Coz you like him and you don't want him to think you are mousy? Were you on a date or something and you were being too quiet by not saying anything... he must have felt that the silence was awkward... he just wanted to break the ice.... maybe make you laugh... or see your reaction coz he wants to get to know you better... mannerisms... and such ...

No it just means that you're so quiet no one will kno that your in the same room as they are. Quiet as a mouse as an IDIOM that means that its not literal. Your just quiet!

I could be, depending if they were joking. All he really means is that your really quiet, if someone said that to me though I wouldent take it as an insult.

don't take it personal when someone say that cause I'm a quiet person too and tell you the truth there is nothing wrong with being a quiet person

It definitely isn't an insult. He might be pointing out something that might get you talking a bit more. You know, a conversation starter. If I were you I would start talking and just be yourself.

Depends if he likes quiet people or not. If he finds quietness aggravating it could be annoying but I personally think he meant it to be cute.

I would have looked him in the eye and said "Squeak, squeak! Are ya talkin' ta me??" And then shrug my pretty little shoulders....
I may be quiet and unassuming, but I must stand out in a crowd, as guys ALWAYS come over and ....show me lots of attention!
