Ladies I'm pretty sure we've all been exposed this time of year to our friend "Mistletoe", whether being cornered at work, or at a relatives house or at the infamous office party, what are the rules? How does one KISS, is it just a peck on the cheek, a peck on the lips, or my favorite the "tongue salsa", etc.. Please share your ideas and thoughts. Happy Holidays!

My best friend is getting a divorce. They have two very small children, and are like family to us. I care very much about both parties.
I told both of them I didn't want to get into the middle and that we have managed to remain nuetral with our other friends that are divorced and still speak to all parties. The last time I saw this man he kept going on about the dissagreements and I repeated numerous times that I did not want to get into it. That it was between the two of them to work sonething out. Then he made a remark about harming her.
I spoke up about what he said and now,he is blaming me. He says that I butted into his business and made it so that he can not see his children. I do not feel that I put myself in the middle.I feel that he put me there. I never wanted to be in this position,I care about them both.

Not physically abusive, but emotionally. And verbally. Whatever you do it's never good, or they don't even notice it. They ever told me that I was very ugly, and once I had severe allergy and got my face all swollen, and my father's comment was: "What an ugly mug you have! But you ever was ugly." Then, whatever I start doing, they say me to stop, because something like you would never succeed, anyway. If I do, they do not notice it, and if I don't, they are gleeful, especially my mother. I started going out with that man, and she criticised him, and said he was awful; when we broke, she said: "Oh! You can't even get married!" I got a PhD, and at first it was hilarious - who'd give you one? - and afterwards - the wrong PhD! I thought it was all right till I drove in a taxi, and it was a long drive, and a taxi driver started talking about his daughter - who had a PhD, never ate any meat, but loved cherries, and won in a local best shaped woman competition - just like me!

If you mother started screaming at you, literally out of the blue, how would you react? She was pissed at my step-dad, but took it out on me. he started screaming at me and telling me that I was going to fail at life and I was going to be living with her my whole life and I was going to be broke like her, which she is not, we just dont have a lot of money. She told me I was never going to make it out of this town, which is my goal. I dont want to stay here my whole life. All that just came out of nowhere this morning. I was speechless at the time, which just made her mad. Now im sad and pissed at her. How would you have reacted? I dont know what to say to her later.
Sorry, rant over. Help?

I have an relative (by marriage) who dominates all family conversations. They can talk nonstop for hours without noticing that no one else has had the opportunity to speak more than one sentance. Does anyone have a nice way to deflect the conversation away from a motormouth? This person is nice, not overbearing, but just talks and talks...I think they she gets nervous and then doesn't shut up.

...she has a boyfriend but I really like and she's way more fun to be around then Charley(my exgirlfriend) as the fights with her didn't last as long, they were flirty but she didn't find them much fun but with Sherridan(My ex's friend who I was having tthe flirty fight with) it was right fun and it lasted all dinner and she found it fun too but the only problem is she has a boyfriend and she thinks I'm too old for her like Charley did.
What can I do, I really like this girl and she obviously likes me, you don't have a flirty fight with someone you don't like?
I'm 15 and she's 12years old going on 13, same as Charley.
Before any of my contacts or fans ask the other girl rejected me.
Oh, and me and Charley are bestfriends and she's ok if I go out with her friends even though she's my ex, she was ok if I went out with her sister, I didn't because the girls 11 but still.

You capture my heart
When I just hear you laugh
And though we are young
You're my missing half
When you're playing with children
And showing them love
You make my heart beat
Like your sent from above
You capture my heart
With your captivating beauty
And inspire me to make
Caring for you my duty
When you're walking, you move
With such style and grace
And I could study all day
Every line of your face
I'll search high and low
Until each other we find
But now for today
You exist in my mind
I'll learn your inner beauty
On the net when we chat
And know as you type
That my heart's where you're at
When we are apart
It's you I will miss
And long once again
To taste your sweet kiss
I'll embrace you so close
Each night and each day
But for now I will search
Till I find you .................Someday
(I would love to correspond and get feedback on this)

Basically here is the situation... my mum and dad both drink quite a lot, maybe even enough to be considered aloholics but im not sure, anyway they drink every night. I smoke weed quite frequently, because i would rather do that than intoxicate myself with booze, as alcohol turns people into idiots and makes you do stupid things. I would just rather come home in not such a state and have maybe 1 or 2 beers and a spliff than 10 beers and come home throwing up and feeling ill. However last night i had the worst argument so far with my parents and they just dont listen because they drink. They were calling me a ' Smack head thieving addict ' because i took a cigarette from my mum as i ran out. My dad even said last night he would not mind if i came home drunk some weekends throwing up, he would prefer that to me smoking weed. What can i do to put my point across to them, im not a SMACK HEAD, they say weed makes me depressed, but im not apart from when they shout abuse at me. What can i do

Right after my husbands father was born his fathers dad died . So my father nlaw never new his bilogical father he was the only grandson for his fathers side of the family . Well when he died and he was a few years old his mother (husbands grandmother) got with another man and took my father n laws last name and changed it to the new mans last name she got with (so the only living grandson to carry my husbands grandfathers last name was changed ) and it killed the parents of this child to know his only living son carried another mans name they took him away and wouldnt let him see them and brain washed him into thinking that this side of the famil wanted nothing to do with him.my husband had a dream and it was his grand father coming to him crying with a white buttton up shirt on . Went and saw his grandfathers grave for the first time had a picture on it with him in a white button up shirt. My husband is thinking about changing his last name to pay tribute to the man that had his name

You walked into the party
Like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror
As you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed
That they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and....

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

You had me several years ago
When I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave

But you gave away the things you loved
And one of them was me
I had some dreams
They were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee and....

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

Well I hear you went up to Saratoga
And your horse naturally won
Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun

Well, you're where you should be all of the time
And when you're not you're with
Some underworld spy
Or the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend, and....

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

We had a fight the other night b/c he thought I was being too needy. Last night he said he doesn't have time for a gf w/ school and work and it's just too much for him and he broke up w/ me. I sent him texts asking if we could try again but w/o all the "relationship" pressure. I know he was feeling overwhelmed and upset over our argument. Do you think he might change his mind after he clears his head for a few days? Should I maybe leave him alone for now (considering he ignores my texts) and maybe contact him in 2 days asking him to reconsider?

I am so upset I couldn't sleep and feel like I am going to throw up Sounds stupid after only 2 months I know but I was falling in love.

I'm going to a movie this Wednesday and my crush from church will be going. I really like him and I think he likes me. How do I ask him to sit next to me?? Because I think that if I sit next to him, something might happen between us. I'm not going out with him but we are really good friends. Soooo, how do I ask him if he wants to sit next to me?? If he says yes, how do I react. If he says no, how do I react?
Thanks for your help!!
