I have been with my now husband for a total of 5 years. He has two really close friends and one is married (w/ 3 kids). I met his friend and his wife when me and my husband first started dating and she seemed fine. But over the last few years, I just feel like she does not like me. She does have a different personality, but I feel like whenever I'm in her company (which isn't often), she doesn't seem real happy and makes brief conversation. Yet, she seems to be more friendly with another friend's GF who lives nearby. However, she would talk about her behind her back (I remember her saying she has nothing in common with her). I never did anything to this girl for her not to like me. But I get the impression because I'm not one to shout out my sexual history in a room full of people, I'm viewed as too nice. It isn't all bad, sometimes I'm around her and its fine. But overall, I don't know how to get close to her and I'd like to as its my husband's friend's wife. Any suggestions?

I told the guy im into that I really like him. I also admitted how shy I am...he had a serious face and said "Yeah I understand...we should probably hang out sometime."

So my quesiton is, is that overall a good thing, and if it is, what's the next steps I should take into getting him to like me the way I like him?

My fiance broke up with me in June after dating for 4 years. She told me that she was depressed and needed to find herself. I was beyond Devastated from this. She told me that she wanted to stay friends. I miss her more than anything, but if anything, I am the one trying to hold the friendship, I have not heard from her in 3 months. In your experiences, did it ever work out or is it usually dead in the water???

I found out that my friend's dad died, either today or yesterday - he had cancer. she'd told me about his cancer, and about all the treatment etc. it wasn't going well, but i didn't expect him to die so soon. me, along with loads of other people, are really upset - loads of people were crying at school today. i don't think my friend was in school, i'm not sure when she'll be coming back, but when she does i don't know what to say to her. i'll probably end up crying, which will probably make her feel worse. i can't imagine what hell she must be going through. what do i say? it's such an awful thing to happen, especially now.

ok....my friend met this cop who was really nice. They started talking and made out at her house. It didnt go any further. Anyways...he has started to do some creepy things and I need to give her some good advice.....
this is what he is doing...

1. he got a myspace/facebook just to talk to us
2. after 3 dates he told her he wanted her to meet his mother.
3. Sent her a top 10 list of what he likes best about her on myspace
4. Invited her to his family christmas
5.Sat up after hanging out and asked "what are we getting ourselves into?...it doesnt matter...it just feels so right"
6. told her he was going to spoil her rotten
7. calling her is girlfriend
8. the whole squad and his mother know EVERYTHING about her and can't wait to meet her.
9. telling her how she used to wait on him at her job over a year ago

and a bunch of other creepy stuff. keep in mind he is a cop, so how does she nicely get rid of him without being on his bad side??????????? this is after only 3 dates

i was talking to him in the phone and one thing i don't like is talking to him over the phone since he acts like a real di*k on the phone. he was a little mean and at times he doesn't even realizes it well he stayed quite for a while and tells me babe i don't appreciate you. he is not always like this he has his moments just like we all do but what does this mean??

The first one I have been dating now for almost two years. We have been off and on. I could not put my finger on it but something was not right about this guy. I started searching and I found out that he was married! He told me that he wasn't. I stop seeing him and met another guy...my current lover. This guy is everthing I could have asked for and more. He cooks for me, takes care of my kids, pays my bills, and gives me ANYTHING that I want. What's wrong? I still love my old lover. Know matter what he gives me I still think about and want to be with my old lover. And I do still see him(old lover) and now he is telling me that he loves me. I dont want to hurt my current lover...he is in deep. What do I do?

i met my best friend when i still lived in maryland my and his friend wanted us to hook up but we lived 45 minutes away from each other and we became best friends when i fell in love with him i didnt want to telll him but i eventually did.. now we live 16hrs away ive known him for almost 4yrs and he has helped me out with a bunch of stuff he is the guy i used to call at 3 am crying and he would help me feel better i have the chance to go see him in febuary possibly what should i do.. i have a boyfriend and he knows that i wouldnt cheat on him and that i love him to i just dont know who i love more

i was dating this girl for about 5 months and we decided to stop dating about 2 months ago cuz i felt like the relationship wasnt progressing, she said she wasnt ready for anything serious so she suggested for us to be friends. in the past two months she has been contacting me on friendly chat but until last week we bump into each other at a function where there we connected again, we hung out for 5 days st8 she invited me to her which she never did before. we didnt discuss anything about us, i guess we are enjoying each other company
should i get her something for x mas? if yes, what should i get her ( i dont want to get her something that shows love or commitment).

if no, please tell me why?

we are both 25 years old
P.S. i like her and i will love to be with her but i dont know if this is possible due to her past theres a 50/50 chance but she needs to get over this emotional roller coaster that keeps hunting her

this past year has been.. crazy. i broke up with the guy im in love with. my brother might be sent to jail for 4 years. i lost a lot of friends. i'm constantly losing wait.. (even though i really don't need to) and i sleep all the time yet i'm still tired.
and on top of that.. i developed a stutter. i don't mind having a stutter... really.. it doesn't bother me. but sometimes the way my friends make fun of me.. is just mean. i'm debating whether to get rid of it.. or stick it out. i kinda like it because it kinda defines me. but i don't know. what do you think? and please, don't be mean.. or stupid.

I've known this girl for 3+ yrs. Always been very thoughtful/ emotionally supportive of each other. Were "good" - even "best"- friends. I had GF, she was single/lonely. She knew I had GF. We'd meet for coffee, meals when we could (once/month when we lived in same country, which was only for about a year of that time)...e-mailed and talked on phone regularly in between...sent pics to each other, took pics together, gave each other cards/gifts on special occasions, including "couple's holidays"...signed e-mails with "love" sometimes...went to a "date" movie, and for a few walks...always platonic, never flirtatious...GF/others still said this was "cheating"...Girl asked me to go to amusement parks with her, to visit her in other country where she lived...I couldn't, b/c of GF...I had potential feelings for her, told her, said we'd see about the future...GF/I broke up...approached girl, she said she had BF now she never told me about...said she *never* thought of me as possible BF?
