No, you can wear a pair of jeans to the clerk's office. What a shame that you have to have a rush ceremony. People who do this are usually in some kind of trouble due to sex; either they feel the need to have sex now or typically, the girl is pregnant and feels the need to have a rushed deal. I would think twice about having a fake ceremony years after your actual marriage date, as guests attending the fake ceremony usually spend the evening bad mouthing the bride and groom and/or feel it's a farse just to get some cash.

You can wear jeans and a t-shirt at the city clerks office if that's where you are getting married. I think it's only for more formal church weddings that people expect a real wedding dress.

This i do no longer see the situation in that's the diverse marriages i'm like "what the heck is up with all the white". My cousin have been given married for the 2d time and wore white.. oh and he or she exchange into pregnant. i'm sorta like ... why. Love her and that i understand she's no longer a whore or something yet you have been married until now white robes might desire to be reserved for those individuals of have not or who've controlled to fortuitously stay married. i think of that is advantageous donning a white dress. that is something to rejoice! good success and Congratulations on 30 years, might you have 30 greater!

no you do not have to wear a gown. you can wear anything you feel comfortable wearing. I personally and going to be in jeans and a nice shirt for my civil ceremony. We are planning the big family wedding/party after he returns from Afghanistan. So it is entirely up to you... if you did buy a gown now are you going to use the same one in a few years? if you are think of all the alterations you may need to do to it. I'm going to wait to purchase mine till we do the actual big wedding.
good luck to you and congratulations!

I've never heard of anyone wearing a wedding dress to a civil ceremony. None of the people I know did. Wear what you like.

No. A 'wedding dress" is not necessary. I've seen brides wear wedding dresses to the clerk's office - but most often than not they simply wear "street" clothes - even tank-tops and bluejeans -

Wear anything you want. My mom wore jeans in hers.
Just keep in mind that if there will be a lot of photos taken that day or if your family will be around, you may want to dress up a bit so you still look put-together and polished.

I don't think you have to wear a dress, but I think you should wear something special, and white. A sexy white suit with a turquoise or coral cami would be spectacular.
