My best friend is beautiful, thin, & always looks put together. I'm a size 4, so it's not like I'm huge by any means, but it hurts my feelings that he will say I'm fat when we are fighting & tell me I need to lose weight. Every now & then, he will make comments like, "Why can't you be like her?" or "She always looks good, why can't you?" I may not be as thin as I used to be after having 2 kids, but what gives. Isn't this hitting below the belt or am I overreacting (as he says)?

i really like her. we get along well. she has been through alot. she was with the same guy from 14 to 26. since then they have split. they have 3 kids. she started dating. its been about a year since. it seems like almost every weekend she calls with someone new she has slept with. i dont know what to say. dont want to be rude to her. but i have told her that she wont find anyone by doing that and she needs to hold off for a while when she first meets someone. she hasnt taken my advice and i dont know what else to tell her. shes being used and wont even admit it. she acts like shes the player when she really isnt...what should i do???

My husband's mother and sister don't like me. They are close with the ex-w and never gave me a chance. I have not done one single solitary think to neither of them. Now the ex-w is a horrid person. She is very disrespectful to me when she calls my home, and all I did was put a stop to it and stand up to her. I advised her the she will act as a respectful adult when she calls my home, and I have never called hers. (Ex: As soon as I answer the phone, she says "look b*tch, put *** on the phone")... That is not appropriate and will not be tolerated so now she is not welcome to call. She told the mom and the sis that I said she can't call my home while her child is there... Do you blame me... Initially she could call, but now... after that.... Ha, Sh*tting me if she can call and disrespect my home where me and my husband pay "ALL" the d*mn bills... Again, Do you blame me....?

If you dated a guy that was the sweetest person on earth, treated you well, had a good job, made you laugh, had a good time with but you didn't necessarily think he was "as intelligent" as you were, would you date him/marry him?


He's a fireman, so it just took a list to get on the Dept. (highest paid in the state, good money)
He never went to college (I did) but that doesn't even bother me that he didn't. There are just some things that I know (that I think is basic knowledge) that he doesn't quite get. I don't know if loving him for all the good qualities I listed above, that it will just annoy me later for this one thing when we spent our lives together.

Just filed seperation from my Husband for 2 years. We were together for 6 before we got married. I love him a lot, but he was mentally abusive always telling me I was attractive enough, and he was always checking out other girls. he completely demoralized me on many levels. He even had internet and phone flings. To top all that off his family was a royal pain in the ***...constant interference and nagging. There a family of liars, and his own father cheated on his mother. He said he never wanted to be like him, but I truly believe he has. I feel I can't get over this I am grieving and my tears won't stop. Some morning's I will wake up happy and ready to go...other's Ill feel like my life is totally shitless and pointless. Why am I crying for someone who treated me so bad? If there life after a divorce...is there life after total heart break? Please some suggestions on how to move on...or what to do. I need some help! There is no shot at getting back...help???

Me & this guy see each other some..but not alot..we work alot & don't live real close. We talk on the phone&text, etc. I'm divorced & he's never been married. He said that he knows we should b careful.(I have a feeling that maybe he has been burned by women/or a woman before&he knows how my marriage ended w/my husband cheating) We usually talk casually but yesterday he asked me if I missed him yet. He said he misses me & that he's been thinking about me alot. I told him I think about him alot&that I would of already told him but I didn't know if it was ok or not. He said "me too b/c I didn't want to scare u or fall for u too fast but I've been thinking about u alot." I said he wouldn't scare me & that I would rather know. He says we both know we have to b careful & it's good we r already thinking alike. I told him I don't want either 1 of us to get hurt in any way & he said he's glad we r on the same page. Where do u think we could be going w/this from the things he says?

My wife is mad at me because in a minor dispute with my family of origin (parents/brothers) she feels I am taking "their side". In my opinion, in this circumstance, it is my wife who is overreacting and being pretty irrational. I've kind of tried to be a bridge to smooth things over a bit between the two parties (clearly a no win option, I feel like "Raymond"!),
but she sees this, angrily, as not being supportive of her.

So it seems I have a weird choice--be a "good husband" and be supportive of my wife's feelings--but act in a way that is not what I truly believe and not be true to myself--or act in a way I believe is true, but that therefore is being "not supportive"

Experiences? Advice? Help?!

Okay, here's the deal. I'm very independent.. especially after spending 2 years alone while my husband was in Iraq. I learned how to do things on my own like change the oil, mow the grass, etc. My husband seems to think some things are a mans job and when I do them (or try to), I'm hurting his manhood. It didn't help that I called my dad after our son flushed a bouncy ball in the toilet instead of letting him handle it.
I know this is important for some men (don't fully understand why) so what can I do (other than keep my mouth shut in the future) to help him feel manly? Any ideas?

I really wanted to do something creative so I was thinking of doing a well wisher tin. My theme is beach, so I was thinking of doing a white tin pale with blue ribbon and having shell cards for the guests to write there wishes on to us. Does that sound like a good idea? And how will all the guest know to do it? Do you think it should take place of the guest book or can I have that as well? Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

There will be filing for divorce next week, but with Rx drug addiction, spouse can drain complete between now and then. Using low income lawyer, in small county in Washington state, so not much lawyer availability. 2ND PART how do I, before lawyer gets around filing next week, and having spouse removed from premises, stop my liability for spouse to incur debt I am liable for. Can I file a form at the court house BEFOCan I publish in a newspaper? Does it have to be a certain # of newspaper? do the papers have to have a minimum circulation. I realize spouse may have right to a portion of our joint funds, but with drug addiction at this level,. Spouses has has already drained dangerous levels of our assets and am nervous to wait even the week the lawyer will take, if the lawyer gets filing on time. Your advice and guidance appreciated. Particularly filing some simple preliminary form at courthouse or how to announce my not be liable for debt he may incur before lawyer gets around it

Me and my friend were at my home chillian and in the heat of the moment something happened..(u know what i mean). We told each other that we won't catch feelings if something did happened. But we would still be friends.
And now I was wondering...he usually calls me at break and he ain't called. Me ain't texted me either.
I ain't catch no feelings that is my boi...but what you think happened? You think he don't want to talk to me anymore?
He was doing all this talking in the heat of the moment but now it's like....I ain't got no message or call...

I'm dating this guy that I have been interested in for a while. Things are going great, we spend some time together each day and we like each other a lot. One thing is though that we are very different- we really fall into the whole "opposites attract" idea and we varying interests and do our own thing a lot. Is this okay? Any advice on how to keep the relationship strong so we don't end up drifting apart with our own lives?
