Society is so screwed up nowadays that this term was coined so that people who do not honor their beloved by marrying them can sleazely put themselves loosley into the same category as those that are willing to commit their lives to each other.
Granted, with the divorce rate as high as it is, being married isn't as purposeful as it once was for alot of people that do get married. Honor yourself and your mate!
