We're not married. But we have a 5 month old daugther together. I dont care about anything but making sure she stays with me if worse comes to worse. The apartment we live in is in my name, although small. I dont smoke and drink rarely and if I do drink, I'm out with adults, and not while she's in my care. I work full time. We have a babysitter during the day who stays with her. I make more money than him (not much but still). I'm stable and have no criminal history whatsoever. I do have financial problems from the past but, my daughter will always be well taken care of.
So my question is, will I automatically be granted full custody of my baby if we split up? Losing her would be like losing my life and it scares me to death. She is the best thing that ever happened to me.
Btw, I work a 9-5, monday through friday job. No crazy schedules. I'm not a stripper or anything like that..lol I'm in sales. Can you tell me your take on what might happen if he tries to pull something?

If a guy told his girlfriend that he wanted to go on a break so that he can get his life together (job, school...ect.), does that mean he isn't interested anymore?

There are so many questions on here about woman affraid that there ex is going to take away there childsupport because the child is 18 or would rather live with the ex. Isnt it unfair to ask that question? what about the ex that has been paying that child support for 18+ years? where is there break? If they can not afford to support the child with the child support and there carreer why should the child live with that parent? then when the children do reach of age for a car or a college fund there is no money for that child. why should they be so worried about the child support stopping when the child would be happier to live with the other parent? wouldnt that be enough?

My soon to be X Wife screwed me over again.Three years ago she cheated on me with a guy for a year. After many fights and counseling etc we stayed together. Then in 06' I moved out for 5 months. She didnt love me etc. At the last minute she wanted to stay together and work on us. Our Townhouse had been sold so we had to quickly buy a house up the street. We wanted to keep our Daughter in the same school. Well this past August she left. She said it was a mistake and all the same crap in March but we agreed to stay until my mom could sell her house and move in with me. This would keep my Daughter in the same school etc. She broke that deal. Last week I found out she had been seeing a guy the entire time since we had been separated. It was all a lie because she didnt know where to go once the townhome sold. Of course the neighbors knew and told me the truth. She owned up to it when I confronted her. No guilt no nothing. Cold. Its been 11 years of marriage for nothing. It hurts so damn bad

I was dating a separated man & I recently broke it off w/ him until divorce b/c it had been 7 months & they've STILL not filed for divorce (he lives in his own place but a lot of his stuff & his dogs are still at their house where she's living).

He keeps asking me questions like "Will you date me after I get divorced?" "Have your feelings for me changed?" "Will you tell me if they do?" "Will you date other guys until I'm divorced"?

I can't tell if these questions are b/c he's insecure & lonely & wants to make sure I still love him, or if they mean he wouldn't be getting divorced if I weren't in the picture. I understood that it was mutual but now she doesn't want divorce so if there's any chance he may not want divorce, I don't want to be in the way even though I still have feelings for him & have no desire to date other guys right now. Why do you think he is asking these questions? How should I answer them to make sure he would be getting divorced with or w/out me? Thanks.

How possible do you think it is that he will eventually leave ME for another woman?

My husband constantly wants to have deep, meaningful, conversations. But, it's getting old! I don't like to spend all my free time discussing deep inner thoughts. I want to relax and not have to think so much. He says its his way of gaining trust in me, and it gives him confidence. But it wears me out! Plus, I get in trouble if I don't want to talk, or if what comes out of my mouth isn't what he wants to hear! I'm so frusterated!!!!!!!!

Is there a standard time that people will usually stay?

2007-10-23 08:04:20 · 21 answers · asked by Anonymous in Weddings

My ceremony will be at a church, a a bit more formal. And my reception will be across town at the fairgrounds. It will be indoors, air conditioned, etc. It is a nice building, hardwood floors, beautiful very old building. But I want people to be able to dress down a bit if they'd like as to enjoy the evening reception. The wedding party may dress down a bit as well, itno simply nice summery outfits.
I am trying to decide if having time between the ceremony and reception would be ok, to give people time to change and travel. Also, a significant partion of my guests have children under 12, most under 5, so I was thinking that even though childcare will be provided on site at both locations. Parents might want to squeeze in nap time as well as giving the kids some time to expend energy before the reception.
The reception will be a family event, with music, dancing, and limited drinking, as well as a buffet for the kids & a supervised area roped off in a corner with puzzles, etc

On Saturday, my bf and I got into a huge fight that involved us screaming at each other outside (he's 24, I'm 23). Long story short, someone called campus police to quiet us down, and he broke up with me the next morning. He said that he still loved me and wants to remain friends. Well, last night, I received an e-mail from him saying, "I don't want to talk this week. We are not going to remain friends. I would appreciate it if you would leave me alone, and I promise to do the same." This is very hurtful coming from the guy who last week was asking me to tell him what kind of engagement ring I want (we've been dating for over a year). At any rate, I haven't tried to contact him or talk to him since Sunday.

Do you think he'll ever talk to me again? Do you think we'll ever get back together?

We have broken up once before over a similar incident (big fight, he dumped me), but I got an e-mail from him wanting me back over the summer. What do you think?

I have never been in a releationship where we break up and after awhile we get back togther. I have stayed good friends with some of them. but I have never had the urge to get back together. I have broken up with girls that my best friends will brake up with their girl for the same reason, they get back together and we dont. so what goes through your head when you try to get back together. What are the chances/odds that it will be different this time, and is it different?

so, it's my first year of college and I'm having some roommate trouble. She seems well-meaning, but she's SO condescending and self-righteous. She didn't drink before college & ever since she found out that I have a past of mild drug use she acts like she's better & more responsible then me. She calls me "hon" which I for one find to be very condescending & she uses these annoying nicknames that I hate. She talks on the phone really loud with her mom or sister when I'm in the room. She makes really tactless comments, like the other day she was like "Oh my god, hon, you can she your veins right under your skin on your feet". in front of everyone. She also thinks she acts as some kind of maternal figure to me, she actually said "Oh my god, I'm so like a mom for you" She even started washing my pillowcase. it seems nice, sure, but I NEVER asked her to do that. I can do my own freakin' laundry. UGH! What should I do?

I mean, shouldn't you take that to be a sign that your marriage isn't supposed to be about children, as many of them are?

I would think couples facing infertility would realize they need to focus on other areas and grow their relationship based on those things. Not tear it apart based on what you can't do.

I'm asking this question in reaction to another one posted on here recently. Someone said she considered leaving her husband when she found out he was infertile! Yikes-there is no lemon law on spouses! :)

After discovering that we are expecting, my fiance and I decided to scrap our previous wedding ideas and have either a civil ceremony or an "elopement" in Niagara Falls in January.

I still want to have a get together with the girls before, and a friend offered to plan a shower, but I don't really feel comfortable with a traditional shower, because I don't want my friends to think they should bring a gift when they won't be at the wedding ceremony, I'd also like to celebrate us expecting a baby and while I'm at it, consolidate my bachelorette party in there too (I am pretty busy, and just don't have time for lots of parties)

Would it be appropriate to invite my friends over for dinner and then surprise them by telling them its a bachelorette/pre-wedding/pre-baby party? I really want to stay away from "showers" because I don't want my friends to think they need to bring a gift, I just want to spend time with my friends before getting married..

My husband is a-ok EXCEPT he smokes weed every now and then, almost once/twice a day at times.

It really pisses me off because he said he would stop before we had any kids (we just had a baby) and before we moved into our new house.

But he hasn't...

This is his only thing I do not agree with- I am willing to get a divorce but am not sure if it would be wise at this point...

Advice?

The other day a friend of mine came over to cry about how she and her boyfriend broke up for like the 7th time in like 2 years. Every brake up was a bad brake up and they always get back together thinking this time is different. Over the summer those 2 talked alot on the phone and they would talk about getting back together. She asked for my advice. I told her not to and so did another friend. Then when they did i kinda stoped talking to her. she came over the other day crying. She said that they broke up again. I told her that this was going to happen and then said i didnt care and closed the door on her. was that to harsh or the right move?

I'm 19 and recently lost mine.I have no regrets at all because i'm in a loving relationship.
I don't really believe that it should necessarily be saved for marrage. As long as you are in love and have trust in the relationship thats what really counts.

I saw this girl for like 3 months before we broke up. She had changed because summer started and I don't know some girls are confusing. Anyhoo now that school started again (12 grade) shes back into what I call her "school mode" (Less partying, ect.). She Has a current boyfriend but we have been talking for like 2 hours a day and she has even come over and cuddled a bit. this has been going on for about a week. I don't know how to tell her that I still have feelings for her and I am afraid that I will scare he off if I come on too strong. Help me?
