I'm 24 years old and I made the mistake of starting to get to know this really beautiful asian woman. It turns out that she's 25 and Vietnamese. I also work in the same office building as her.

Anyway, I started making some basic dating moves. Over the last couple weeks, we've talked with each other on the phone a couple times and I recently learned she was born in Vietnam, came to America at 19, she has 3 siblings, and lives with her family...

My hope was to date her like a casual American woman, but I know that Asian families are very strict and traditional. I'm not looking for marriage anytime soon. However, casual dating is strongly frowned upon traditionally unless it is specifially meant for marriage...

I know I'm not ready for marriage for at least a few more years.

So what should I do?

my fiance and I are sending out the invitations ourselves and wanted to know the right wording for our names. Should we do my full name and his full name? Or should it be just my first and middle name?

If you leave a marriage, what do you do next. Do you have to be present for a divorce what happens if you don't show.

For the last 2 months a friend of mine has been bagering me about being a bridesmaid for her wedding. I've kindly told her that I cant do it because I dont have the finances to afford it. My bro is getting married a month before her, and I'm a bridesmaid for my future SIL. I have lots to do because I am helping with decorations (we are making all the bouquets, centerpieces & favors) Plus the shower, dress & accessories for her big day. I can't do that for 2 weddings. (Plus we have to get the suit for my hubby because he is a gm for my bro) She said she will pick a cheap dress but I would have to travel to get to her wedding so thats another expense. She said I just don't want to share in her day but I do. I told her I would help with whatever I could & I will attend but I just can't be in the bridal party.(She was in mine so I feel as though she's looking for me to return the favor) Is it appropriate etiquette to be in the wedding because they were in yours?

My boyfriend has been gone often for his job and I've been complaining about not seeing him. I wanted to just spend time with him yesterday.

He called on his way out of the office and asked if I still wanted to do something. He said that he was thinking about going to his ex-wife and his house to mow the yard. (this has been an ongoing argument).
Him: If you want me to come home I will
Me: I want you to do whatever you want to do
Him: Why can't you just tell me the truth?
Me: I want you to do whatever you want to do
Him: This may be the only chance I get for awhile
Me: Just go mow the yard
Him: Are you going to be mad?
Me: Does it matter how I feel?

I know, it's another stupid arguement, but I don't understand it.

My fiance is a little horrified by the idea of flash photography during the ceremony. I don't think we'll even notice the flashes, but I think we'll definitely notice the lack of photos from our ceremony and I know I'll feel sad as a result.

Anyone have experience either way? Should we limit flash photography to just the photographer to keep it at a minimum? If so, what's the etiquette for telling our guests to refrain from snapping photos?

I'm not sure the pictures would come out okay if we allowed photography, but without flashes. We are getting married in front of a large floor-to-ceiling window and I'm afraid we'll be backlit if we don't have flash pictures.

I hung out with a guy at our school's football game the entire time, and he asked me for my phone number. His sister says that he won't stop asking questions about me, but I wonder if she is just being nice and saying a little white lie.

If he really liked me, wouldn't he have called me by now?

We have a long-distance relationship where I only see her during the weekends (every weekend).
I bought her a white gold necklace for her birthday which is on a Tuesday and I don't know when to give it to her, the weekend before or the weekend after? Also, if I give it to her the weekend before should she open it when she is with me that weekend or the day of her birthday (although what I really want is for her to open it when I am with her, to see her reaction and how she likes it etc.).

What do you guys think I should do?

I am a good looking man. I have my weaknesses, don't get me wrong. But at 47, I'm not going to change. I'm open and vulnerable. I'm a good lover. But it seems the more I give, the more disappointed with me she is. What the heck are women looking for???

We didn't talke for two weeks after and I didn't know what to do. We got in a huge fight/silence treatment and it just can't get resolved. Its tough because sometimes she comes over to the house to party with everyone or I see her around campus but she seriously wants nothing to do with me. I think she felt bad, but I felt even worse. Any advice would make a big difference.

i love that he is so respectful of me but sometimes i wish he'd try to go further wit methan JUST kissing(im too afraid to initiate that/don't wanna seem like a ****/plus once i got really drunk &thus feisty when i kissed him &he said 'don't kiss like that'. he doesn't like me acting indecent &appreciates my conservative ways. first night we slept in the same bed together, he didn't try anything further than softly kissing! but instead sorta hinted at sex (w/o any foreplay -not even touching boob) by randomly asking 'hey itd be weird if we had sex right? just cuz there are other ppl in the room next door? itd be weird rite?' and i said 'uhh yea and plus im not ready for that.. im sorta saving myself". he said 'k, i respect that' but then the next day told me that i lead him on! but the thing is he didn't even TRY to touch me! i don't get it, he doesn't like it when i kiss him passionately or act wild, yet it seems like he isn't going to go further wit me unless i make the move?

I mean every penny is kept track of and shown how it was used for the best interest of hte child.
I know of countless stories of how child support money is miss used by the custodial parent.

I had a co-worker who would plan trips around when she would get the child support check. This same person would then also nickle and dime the father to pay for everything. From how I saw things the child never received ANY of the extra stuff. For example my son went to the same school as her child and she called up her ex to pay $50 for a $19 yeak book and then I found out the kid never got the year book either.

Wouldn't be audited ever six months at least put a damper on this sort of wrong doing?

My previous GF was tall and had nice body. Although she expressed she loved me, she was kind of arrogant and wasn't much nice to me. Despite I loved her I broke up as we had so many arguments.

Lately I've been with a girl who is not very thin or pretty but is very kind and sensible. However I am not very sexually attracted to her.

I am 33 and looking for someone to settle with. I know both of them want to marry me. I have a dilemma which girl is the best to marry to?

Should I continue with my current girlfriend so It could grow my feelings towards her?

Ok I sensed something was wrong and called him on it he kept trying to convince me that he didn't want to come over cause I didn't have a t v in my new place after I dragged it out of him he kept telling me nothing was wrong he finally admitted that he wasn't ready for a relationship which was weird because the week before he was practically asking to move in with me...so he said he wants to be friends I said no then I said I wish you well its been fun and he said I'll call you later. Was he trying to string me along. Or let me down gently. It took him forever to finally say I wish you well. Up until this point he had been the perfect gentlemen taking me out calling I totally didn't see it coming I thought we would possibly get married someday.

For some reason or another whenever I meet an attractive girl who shows any amount of 'interest' in me whatsoever, I start to 'fall for her.' What I mean by that is - I gradually start to develop an innocent crush on her..

I have no idea why, and I try to prevent it from happening by putting other thoughts in my head, but somehow they always find their way back. It seems childish and immature to have such tendencies, but there is nothing I can do about them.

..And I realize it is nothing more than an innocent crush, but each time this has happened, it has ended on a bad note. Obviously, I don't want that. I want to have attractive friends who I can see as just friends - nothing more.

Comments? Solutions?

Well I finally talked to my ex boyfriend on AIM the other night. Please see all my previous questions for more details except the "whats my next move question" which is about someone else. He said the reason he has not spoken to me is because he feels that we both have said what we needed to say and that I repeat myself then he signed off without saying goodbye. I have been doing really well the past month or so and I know I need to stop thinking about him and move on. Its obviously he has no concern for my feelings at all but i just can't seem to come to terms with how he changed so much. He used to be so nice and caring supportive of me and now I guess he thinks I nagged him too much about our problems...I dunno....any thoughts??

I don't even know where to begin finding a church and asking them to marry us. I was raised Catholic he was raised Methodist. Neither one of us attend church and are more spiritual than religious. Our families are set on us getting marrried in a church. We thought that we would go the Methodist route since I know the Catholic church is extremely rigid in their ways. Do I call a church and ask? I need help going about this.
