This is the strangest thing.

There's an office "clique" and I finally realized that she is actually embarassed of me at work and doesn't want anyone to know we're friends. I'm not normal in that I'm a divorced single mother of two and I'm the black sheep at work. So the clique generally turns their back on me because I don't have money to spend like they do.They never invite me to their group lunches, always dump the crappy odd jobs on me to handle and are only nice when they need something.

I expect it from the cliques, but not from her. Do I confront her or just start keeping her at arms legnth? She's a step above me on the corporate ladder and I don't want to create any waves....

My husband had an affair about a year ago with a "friend" of mine. It lasted a couple of months and, after she confessed to me, they both said it was over. He has been quite distant from me ever since. He went astray 20 years ago and I thought we'd gotten past this kind of thing.

He threatened to simply pack up and leave the state a week ago.

My big question is that since our daughter is to be married in a few months, should I hold off divorcing him until then or just get it over with?

Do u agree with me that grandmoms would have taught them better values of life with great love....and now they are learning what ever they want because we have left them alone in the race of earning more and more..... which has no end.So teen agers have restless lives( most of them)

That shouldn't be an oxymoron. My spouse and I have been together for nearly 40 years but still enjoy each other greatly. Sometimes though a bit of erotica works to help get your mind on the right track. Too much that passes for erotica is really a turn off instead of a turn on,

to tell a woman that she's turning him on? Especially when he already has a girlfriend.

I have three younger brothers and my parent's both make pretty good money. Going through high school my parent's pressured me to try and get scholarships.. (I was a really good runner). But I got really sick my junior and senior year and finished high school with a 3.6 and honors, and did recieve scholarships, but by no means recieved the 'full ride' my parent's were hoping for.
I attended a private school freshman year, my parents signed many loans in my name. They never saved for my tuition.
I got married the summer of my sophomore year.
we had a simple service with my immediate family and my father married us. My husband and I wanted a "real' wedding in a year or two; but as time went on my parent's did not have the money so we bargained and asked for my tuition for three years of college. My parents and my grandparents helped with comm. college, but will not help with 3rd and 4th. I am paying for my schooling.

I know it is debatable, but should i be angery with my parents?

...would you prefer your wife stay home, raise babies, make meals, clean house, etc, etc, etc….OR would you rather she work and make her own money and you split household & family responsibilities/duties?

My wife and I were talking about this the other night. We know some couples who are happy like us. We know some couples who are miserable. We know a lot of couples who are somewhere in between.

Sometimes it was the husbands who were the problem. Sometimes it was the wives. Sometimes they just got married too young.

Here are the reasons we've found:

1) Men marrying women because of their sex appeal, not because of who they are (I have friends who have admitted as much).
2) Women marrying men because of their earning potential, not because of who they are (My wife has friends who have admitted as much).
3) Couples getting married immediately after graduation, rather than learning to live on their own and discovering themselves.
4) Couples getting married "because it seemed like it was time to get married."
5) Couples getting married out of sheer inertia, 2-3 years into a relationship.

Any others you can think of?

My boyfriend works third shift and goes to sleep usually at 8am. He came into the bedroom to go to sleep than an hour later, he woke up and started touching me and waking me up in the process. I love having sex and always want him so I definantly went along with it. My problem is I kept thinking of what turned him on in his sleep - which made me not enjoy it quite as much. What's the chance that he was dreaming of another girl? Or did he really just want me? My body type (really skinny with small boobs) really isn't he idle type (like most guys he loves big boobs) so I find it hard to believe that I'm the one that turned him on. I know this is really stupid but hurts to think that he just used me when another girl turned him on - not me. Help a paranoid girlfriend feel at ease.

She dragged me to this really expensive place. When the bill came, she looked at me and said that where she comes from, its expected the man pays. I busted out my wallet, paid, then looked her in the eye and said that where I come from, when a man pays, its expected he will get laid.

Guess what? I DIDN'T. I mean, what the ???? Doesn't it work this way?

What did I do wrong?

He is 19 and i am 21. He has got a large family and is very close to his parents. More like the spoilt brat, he gets all the attention, love and care from his family. He is a so called 'momma boy'.
I on the other hand have a completely different background. Mom died when i was 10. Dad never interested in sharing, caring or loving. I have always been ignored. Got no relatives. I have a brother who is 14. Most of time i am alone and feel the need of someone. My so called bf on the other hand is busy with his large family and has almost no time for me. I am the least prority for him specially when it comes to his family.
I have had a bad childhood and am very susceptible to depression. I miss having a nice family and feel very alone.
I am very lonely. Pls tell me if this relationship can be worked upon? Do i need to spend my time in this relationship? Should i find someone like me who doesnt have a big family and can understand me?
Pls help me with your opnions. I am distressed.

So I was talking to a guy I've been seeing on the phone. At one point in the conversation something comes up and he tells me he'll call me back. Two hrs go by and he doesn't, so I text him. A couple of more hrs go by and he doesn't text back. So I text him again, letting him know generally it's rude not to text ppl back, esp if you promise to call them.
He ends up calling me at 1 in the morning, but I was asleep. So he calls at 8 a.m. He leaves a voicemail saying this, "Good morning! I thought I'd return you the favor and call you before you called me and woke me up. (friend laughs in the background). Just kidding. So, I don't understand why you sent such a harsh text. Honestly, I don't remember saying I'd call you back, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway I have class at 10:00 so call me after that. Ttyl." Was he pretty much an asshole or am I just overreacting?

My guy and his mom don't really get along. She is controlling and sorta mean so I understand that he refuses to take alot of the things she says, because he is 32 and does not need to answer to her anymore. Well, he and her started arguing over the phone one day as he wanted to bring me over for dinner and she wouldn't have it because she does not want to me now and he cursed at her, calling her B*** an idiot - you name it! I mean no matter how mad I could get w/ my mother, I would NEVER go there!! Are you kidding!? She'd get on the first plane out here and END my life!! LOL - But for reals, I told him to chill out and don't EVER be disrespectful like that again and hang up on her if it gets THAT bad. It is better then calling your own mom and a$$hole isn't it?? He said I was siding w/her. I mean he's 32, makes me wonder how it will be when we get married as we plan to within a year. Can you tell how a man is by he way he treats his mother? (mind you he has no sisters only a lil bro).

Can someone give me any ideas about what they did for nervousness before the wedding? I am getting married in a few weeks...I am not nervous at all about my fiance, things are wonderful on that end. As its getting closer I feel overwhelmed with all the things that need to be straight for the wedding and then just thinking of packing at the same time to move all my stuff into his house, I feel like I am starting to lose my mind! And it seems like everyone asks a million questions about what your doing and then gives you advice on what would be their way and why what your doing isnt good enough?? and thats stressful too! What did you guys do to relax ??? I also have really bad lupus so things are taking me longer than normal to get things accomplished... I think thats bothering me too.. ;(

And no nasty answers please,

- Thanks in advance everyone - ;)

For ladies, which one of the above is more important. Intelligence also relates to the level of education, appearance not only a handsome face but also body tone, and humor is pretty much self explanatory.

If you had to rank them from most important to least important, what would the order be?

I flicked my hair when I walked past this guy who is 3 years older than me in school to try and get his attention and he just stared at me for about 5 seconds like he was thinking about something and then he said "do your tie up a bit there" and he did my tie up for me.
Why do you think he did this?
All answers appreciated.

My bf has two children, one 5 and the other 2. They live with there mothers. The 5 year old is a girl and I think she feels that somehow I am replacing her mother and she is begining not to like me. I do not in any way force myself on her. For people who have step children is it worth all the drama and do things get better? Are the children well adjusted? What should I do? I know that we are married but we plan to get married. In addition, the child's mother said today that my bf puts "other people" meaning me in front of the child...

I haven't initiated contacted with my ex for 2 months. She was the last person who initiated contact with me the last couple of times. However, I recently initiated contact with her through myspace and AIM. We talked for a little bit through AIM but she seemed very cautious and appears to hold a mask in front of me. I'm planning to visit her the next week before I leave the country and hopefully still communicate with her through AIM. Do I apologize what happened and bring up the past or do i try to pickup where we left off (I don't want her to feel uncomfortable about bringing up anything in the past). I guess the whole point of the meeting is so I can make her feel comfortable around me and not have to be too weirded out.
