My fiance and I are on a tight budget. Instead of having a chicken or steak dinner, we were thinking of having a pasta bar. Basically, it's a buffet of pasta. Two types of pastas, three sauce options and lots of toppings (like mushrooms, artichokes, olives, ham pieces, etc). We'd also have salad, bread and probably a vegetable side item.

So my question is, does that seem cheap since it's not a meat entree? I've been to lots of weddings with lasagna, but I wanted to have something a little different. We also have a lot of diet restrictions to work with since we're having both Muslim and Kosher guests. What do you think? Any other inexpensive options?

I have no idea. Do you?
He is quite good-looking but is rather judgemental. I'm worried about how to approach him. He's not like other guys.

Just to clarify. He is a nice guy who's very helpful to his friends, but judges others who aren't as intelligent as he is. (He's a bit of a prodigy, academic-wise).

My boyfriend swares up and down that we are going to get married. We shopped for rings, made a decision on where, when and the honeymoon. But when we talk about when this wil happen, he just says someday. This is frustrating cuz I don't understand why we'd do all these things and then he's not even certain on when. I'm fine with waiting to get married, but I want to be engaged and i've told him this. He just says it's not the right time yet. Help me understand and how can i be more patient?

He keeps creating situations in his mind and starts fighting about what I might do in a situation like that...
I never gave him any reason to be jealous. He keeps inventing stuff about me and other people and makes it even difficult to stay in touch with people in a formal way, because he suspects any other male to put me into trouble... Even when I am talking to people in a professional way at work, he keeps assuming things.... what can I do to convince him, that he can trust me? How could I make him relax and take it little more easy? ...after all it is only normal to TALK to people...otherwise how could one live?

I have basically had enough of the way my husband is treating me and my children (mine from previous marriage) He is mentally abusive, moody, controlling and my youngest seems to bear the brunt of his moods and I think he is mentally abusing him by the way he treats him so differently from the others. I cant pack up and leave for financial reasons plus I work as a childminder from home so I need a place to continue working. The house/mortgage is in his name but we pay the mortgage half each same with bills. Where do I stand? any legal bods out there??

My husband has cheated on me in the past. In my heart I believe he really has changed now (I know people say that all the time) but I still have trouble convincing my head of that and trusting him. I even have dreams about him cheating on me and the littlest thing can set it off (such as just seeing a commercial that makes me think of it, or anything else little). For people that have been cheated on more than once, how do you move on and really forgive and try to forget?

My partner has recently lost his job and while he is very qualified and experienced is becoming increasingly de-motivated. He has applied for jobs and had interviews but always seems to just miss out. He is only 26 and in the beginning of his career. He blames himself for losing his job (wasn't his fault at all - he got completely screwed over, but that's another story) and his confidence is plumetting. How can I keep him motivated and focussed? I am running out of ideas - money is also getting tight.

Jesus Christ.

It wouldn't be so bad except she puts him first before our marriage and will yell out his name during sex. She has also read his scriptures after sex and if I do not do something to her liking will ask - what would Jesus do?

Seriously, my wife has been obsessing to the point she is using Jesus as a wedge in our marriage, what should I do?

He will be laid up for 4 months ~ can I limit his visitation with the kids since he will be unable to go and do things with them. I have Been with my husband for 5 years, being married only for three. I am a stay home mum of three children, live my life for my children and my husband whom i love very much, but it seems when we go out he doesn't like me to talk to anyone. including men.

And i sometimes find it very hard to deal with as i have always been in the hospitally industry and alot of my customers are men. I grew up with two brothers and i guess i was a tomboy and can talk to men eaisier than women.

My husband has been hurt in the past by two women and he thinks we are all the same. How do i reasure my husband i am not them.

I don't go out partying or anything if i'm going to have a drink i stay at home as i don't have any real friends that i can go and see.

I love my husband very much and some great advise would be great. Ifeel like my life is going no where as i spent 16 years with a man and realised he was no good for me and i feel like i am repeating it again.

I'm a reall y nice person.i don't sleep around alot though.why do you think this happened?

2007-08-21 01:30:37 · 10 answers · asked by monnie 1 in Singles & Dating

I have a friend, who is a girl. I like her a LOT! Recently I asked her 'would you like to go out for lunch'? she said yes, and I added that 'I'm paying'. She giggled and said 'sure, but I'll pay next week' (she wants to go out again next week).

Now does that constitute as a 'date'? I'm taking her out to lunch (can't do dinner due to both of us being busy).

How can I convey that I am asking her out as more than a friend?

I know this girl, whom I only kissed once and nothing has happened between us since. She didn't want to go further,so we remained friends. We met up this wkn with a group of friends and we ended up chatting alone after clubbing about 'US'!

The questions which stuck in my head is:1.Why can't I tell her how I feel about her?2.I can't make her change,it's the way she is?(she's had 2 1 night stands-I told her she deserves/can do better)
3. Why don't I do 1 night stands? 4.Why am I so against them?

5.Does this mean she wanted something to happen that night? We were also cuddling tightly/kissing each other on the neck/cheek a lot!She said she cares about me a lot!

Please be honest ladies.....

p.s. nothing happened,not even a snog and I don't do 1 night stands!

We do have a history(not sexual)in that we both get jealous when we hear/see what we've been upto with other's e.g. girlfriends or boyfriends
