He is quite good-looking but is rather judgemental. I'm worried about how to approach him. He's not like other guys.
Just to clarify. He is a nice guy who's very helpful to his friends, but judges others who aren't as intelligent as he is. (He's a bit of a prodigy, academic-wise).

Just be yourself... But it sounds like he's a very picky person. If he's judgmental and looks down upon those who aren't as much of a "prodigy" as he is, the I'd say you're setting yourself up for a disappointment.

Just approach him, stop waiting. Personally, I'd rather know what he thinks about me quicker then spending my days wondering, and if he doesn't you can just move on, instead of having wasted weeks on end wondering if he'll date you or not.
