I live with her in her apartment, my husband passed away. We get along, God couldn't have given me a better daughter. She's graduated in Biology, has a job and still studies. But though she's a wonderful girl, at 23 she's still a bit naive, in certain points she acts like a teen. She frequently comes late, get little sleep, I get really scared. She works hard and studies, needs sleep, rest, she can't party as much as she likes or hang out so much with her friends.
She's good to me, loves me, respects. Suppose tomorrow I tell her, "hun, today you're grounded, you'll stay home"? Does she have to obey me? After all I'm still her mom, want her best, love her searly and I'm more experienced. She's still my lovely and a bit immature girl. You see, a sweetheart, a bit naive, somewhat innocent, a brilliant professional with a good job - a dangerous mix, isnt it? As a mom, I have to protect her.

He's been divorced 4 years and she reeks all the havoc she can. We've been together since January and he wants to get married. His only child is 13 years old. I have never received child support but I know it can be a bear. What would you suggest? Last Friday, he was upset because $900 came out of his check. He says he pays $685.00 each month for one child.

Basically, she has a newborn son, which she has named Johnathan. I have accidentally called him John several times, although I am trying to respect her wish. We got in an argument today, because I told her that she should have thought about naming him Johnathan if she didn't want anyone to call him John.

She said that people need to respect her wish or they don't have to be around the baby. I explained that I will definitely try to respect her wish, but she is going to be fighting the world all of his childhood life.

I have chosen to try not comment on the subject anymore and try hard to call him just Johnathan, but it is actually getting under my skin.

My personality is not the type to walk on eggshells, and I am trying to not argue with her about her wish. I just feel that it will be very challenging.

Am I out of place or overreacting? What do you think about the situation? I cherish this 15 year friendship.

i know a friend her husband has be gone for over 4 months in another state and he says he coming back then he says he wants her to go where he is. mind you he doesn't have a job or a place to stay and she won't either. then he says he is coming back and then he says he isn't. she finally told him that if he dosn't come back soon that is its over. after 4 months of back and forth not making up his mind at the very last moment he says he got a call for an interveiw . his wife has had a job for the last 6 months where he hasn't had one for almost a year.

in his car along with cds with a girls name on them. He stayed out late and sometimes did return at all. He refused to go to counseling and denied everything. ( I wanted to leave but our finances are too tied up and our house won't sell. can't ruin my credit because I need it to help get a place when I leave.) He wanted to be intimate with me after aobut 8 months, I said not without protection and explained why, he just said ok and rolled over! It has been 11/2 years since we have been intimate. He is now comming home and says that he wants to work things out. Even when he is being nice, I hate to be around him. He has cheated in the past. I forgave him. He swears that he didn't cheat this time.
I am so sad, that it is hard to go on. I don't believe him. I can't leave, cause our house won't sell. I don't have concrete evidence like i did the first time. I would hate to leave on just circumstantial evidence. We have 4 kids.I am so sad and so angry. How can I feel better?

I am having trouble with my parents. We have always shared a good relationship but for some reason they have started not trusting me. I've always been open about who i go out with and who i date so i don't know where it's come from.

Sometimes when i go out with friends it's spontaneous. I did it before too, sometimes a boy would pick me up from the house and it would be fine. Now they doubt me. If i say i'm going out they come running out to check on me. If i'm home past 11.30 they go crazy at me. I tell them exactly where i was and have my phone on me. But they still ruin my night at the end.

My birthday is coming up and i've planned a party at a club with friends. I've invited some cousins and now i am being told off for involving family as family are now talking that i throw parties at clubs.

It's driving me mad. They don't let me explain and keep shouting liar to my face. My mum keeps calling me a b***h and a s**t. I haven't done anything. what should i do?

I have just found out that my boyfriend uses porn, while I can appreciate that most normal guys look at porn, it is a little upsetting to discover it whilst 7 months pregnant. Has anyone else had this happen to them and how did you cope?

My bf and I are in a distance relationship since 2005 we see each other almost every two months. Before he was very in touch with me, we talked like 2 hours every day. Also we talked with me about have open comunication with no lies to make rich our relationship. Everything was going perfect. We reached the point of make plans to move myself with him. But Since a couple months ago i feel everything different. A lot of times he doesn't answer the phone neither doesn't reply my text messages. You know when you love someone you want to know about this person every minute. I hate when the day goes and i dont receive any signal of life from him. I feel like i'm nobody to him and really it's hurting me so hard because i love you. Also he gets mad when i try to find answers why he acts like that. He already have a baby daughter with another woman and he says that i need to understand he needs to give his time to the girl. I do also tell him that his behavior is hurting me... i dont know...

I think when they call them hot they are only looking at their body and only wanting that body. But beautiful means they are beautiful and they love for who they are. Personally it bothers me when a guy calles me hot. It is good to know he thinks that, but I don't know what he really means.

6 weeks so far when we broke up, we had a serious thing, we were talking about marriage. She went to another city and we only had contact through myspace, email, phone. She created a new myspace with a title "Killing off the past and coming back to life." Its been five weeks without me calling her and things like that. I told my friend to tell her if she would like to be my friend, a week ago, and she said in an email "Yeah, its not a big deal, I know hes a good person, besides, I already added him, tell him hello, bye."

It was a lie, she did not add me on her myspace. 4 days after that, I added her, and she accepted me. Ok, its been 4 days that we know that we are in each others profile, but we have not started talking. Im going to break the ice, what should I say after all this time? I dont want to ask her how shes doing, something else.

We are looking to get married. I do not want to spend a lot since we already have kids. I was thinking intimate courthouse in the day and maybe Friday/Saturday evening rent a social hall to just have a party. I like the idea of a restaurant catering our fav foods, open bar, dj and just make it very fun and informal. I would not want any china etc, we could do paper plates, no dress code. I would probably just wear a party dress since to the courthouse probably wear a white suit. I would just send out regular written invitations and just say its a party to celebrate our life together and I would not want any presents. I would just want this to be a fun evening for friends, family to enjoy plus we are really laid back so this would be great for us however many of our friends had lavish weddings/receptions so I am sure this will catch them off gaurd and they will probably criticize us for celebrating our wedding this way. What would you think if you were just invited to a party?

A few weeks ago, this guy asked me if I would go out with him tonight to have some drinks with his friends that were coming into town. Well, I hadn't really heard from him all week and when I did he never mentioned going out tonight. We've gone out a lot in the past few weeks but he always seems to have to much on his mind and sometimes I wonder if he's fully "there". Since I hadn't heard about tonight I made other plans with this guy that I've also been going out with once in a while. The first guy randomly showed up today and asked about tonight. Can anybody give me some real advice? I've been going out with this girl for a few weeks and am really keen on her except for one thing i.e she has bad breath most times. She is of oriental extraction and a friend told me it was peculiar to asian peoples. The thing is how can I approach it tactfully and can it be resolved?
