He did not tell me at the time he proposed that he was using a recycled, well not even recycled a ring he found. I figured it out later. He did not even bother to change the setting. He claimed he did not have the money be buy a ring, but in the last four months he has bought himself a nice laptop, subwoofer/surround system, fishing poles, fishing cart and whatever else. It is not so much the ring, as it is the meaning, I feel like I mean as much to him as the probable cigarette butt it was laying next to in the gutter. What do you think?

There will be around 90 guests and I would prefer to personally send letters rather than invitations. I plan on having a casual outdoor wedding. Would this be okay??

I broke up with my boyfriend about a week ago. Over the course of a year and a half, he cheated on me a few times and never stopped sending inappropriate emails to countless other women. I decided that I couldn't take it anymore and if I didn't love and respect myself enough to let him go, then how could I possibly expect him to love and respect me. Anyway...even though he wasn't faithful to me, he treated me like a queen in every other way you can imagine. Unfortunately, the cheated was just too much of a flaw for me to bear. I have decided that he is a good person, just not good in relationships.

Even though he cheated on me people might think it should have been an easy decision to make. Well, turns out, it was the hardest decision of my life. To let go of someone I loved so damn much.

So, my question is, is it possible for me to have a friendship with him in the future without my heart getting in the way? He is a good person...just not a good boyfriend.

I am trying to figure out my sexuality... I want to be in a relationship with a girl but I don't think I can live without a guy in my life too. Can I have both at the same time? Would guys be ok with me having a boyfriend and a girlfriend? And if so, where can I find said girl and guy?

My husband and I have been married for almost 4 years and we have a great son and another on the way, due next month. The problem is that for the past month or two, there really hasn't been any romance, sex for instance. We both work different hours, but there are times, when we could fit it in, but either I'm too tired from chasing a 2 yr old and being pregnant and I actually don't feel desirable. I haven't gained a lot of weight (19 lbs) during pregnancy, but I've tried saying stuff like to try to get in the mood, but it doesn't work. Talking to him doesn't work alll the time too. What are your thoughts? What should I do?

This is just out of curiousity.

Guys.... Who would you choose over the other for your lifelong partner at a glance: a short, slightly curvy, plain-looking woman or a slender, beautiful, bodacious woman?

Girls.... Who would you choose over the other for your lifelong partner at a glance: a short, pudgy, plain-looking man or a tall, fit, sexy man?

I've got most of the big things picked out. Dresses ~ spaghetti straps
Flowers ~ white lillies
Colors ~ midnight blue & sliver

I just can't pick a day. I'm hoping that if I can get a time of year or season, I'll be able to pick a date.

I am 20 and my girlfriend and I have been dating for 3 years. We live out in the sticks and there is really nothing to do around here. We go for walks, go to the occasional movie, party a little...but I really need to show her how much she means to me without just getting flowers or saying "I love you."

My husband cheated.
Now we both really want to work it out and be happy but EVERYTHING I do makes me think about it! TV, Radio, comments, EVERYTHING. I find myself totally obsessed and I know that we'll never heal if this doesn't stop! I've tried, hobbies, and therapy too. I'm just totally stuck on what he did.
I'm so sick of everyone saying TIME. Time heals all wounds. To me time is the enemy because it means more time to dwell and think about it!

i've recently decided that i'd like to do a lot of stuff for childrens' hospitals...especially for cancer patients, etc... i'm just looking for a few ideas as to what i could do....not just the typical, ordinary things that people usually do (not that those are bad)...but something to make the patients happy. any ideas?? i'll be getting together with a man--he's actually 62--but he's super creative and his wife is an artist...and he's sort of helping me get my foot into producing etc...which is what i'm studying...so even if there are any ideas you might have ...dealing with all of that...just anything! thanks!

My MOH is from out of town. She said she is going to fly out here and throw me a bridal shower, since all of my bridesmaids and friends are in a 4 hours radius of where I live and it's easier that way. I'm really excited!

She has asked me to pick out a place where I would like to have the shower, and if I will help her with games and invitations and everything.

I don't know if it's because she doesn't know any of the other bridesmaids or if they are just unwilling to help. I don't know if the bridesmaids even know about it.

I don't *really* have a problem with doing this, but does that seem kind of weird? Am I breaking any serious etiquette rules by helping? What should I do?

I was with a guy for 5 years. I broke up with him because I had been with him from the time I was 17. I wanted to experience more & be on my own. However, I'm now 25 & we've remained very close friends. Sometimes, I fear I'm going to regret it if I don't get back together with him & marry him. I worry that this is as good as it gets & I won't find anyone else to marry. I def don't have visions of the perfect fairytale marriage, but I hope there's something more to marriage than a relationship that dwindles to comfort & friendship after 5 years. I want more fulfillment out of a relationship, I want more attraction, I want more shared interests. Is this too much to ask? He's a great guy & does so much for me.....why do I feel like something's missing? Why do I feel like the bad guy for not being ga-ga over him?

I don't want to feel like I missed out on a good thing, yet I also don't want to feel like I settled......... So I fear that things won't feel right whichever way they go.

Until about 6 or 7 years ago, I always wore pantyhose with my skirt suits for work each day at the office. Needless to say, with me dressing that way for work each day, my hubby developed a pretty intense curiousity for pantyhose. Right around the time that my wardrobe transitioning to skirt suits and going bare legged with skirts, I was wearing pantyhose for work only on occasion. One one of those occasions that I was wearing them, I just asked him if he was so curious about the hose, why doesnt he just try them. I then hiked up my skirt, eased out of my sheers, handed them to him, and told him to slip them on so he could expereince the feel. He complied like a good hubby and hes been hooked on wearing them ever since (only for bedroom action). I really havent worn them much since and and its kind of ironic that as I was moving away from wearing them, hes was getting into it. Now I wear the pants, and he wears the pantyhose!

I have a boyfriend who wants to have an open relationship. The only problem is that he wants it one-sided ( his side). And I told him that I didn't want sloppy seconds and all he said was "he needed different" women to make him happy. What can I do? I love him with all my heart to leave. And even if I did leave him I have no where to go.

I'm kind of falling in love with someone else...I've never met this person, only chatting. She's beautiful, my girlfriend, and nice but I just don't know how to tell her that I don't love her just like, and this woman that I met online is just what I would love to marry someday. Have you been in this situation and does it work when you find someone online? She's a beautiful nurse.
