I've discovered after 44 years of trying to please my folks, that they don't think very highly of me. My dad even went as far as telling my best friend that he was sure my new husband would be good to me, he just wasn't sure I could be good to him... It hurt at first, but now I just want to put it all behind me. Unfortunately, I just moved 300 miles to be closer to them as they have become older and might need my help. Now it seems as if we are separated by a great gulf! Any suggestions?

My husband of 1 year (age 50) has in his top drawer a big glossy picture of his high school sweetheart and an envelope with more pictures of her. He also has a small portfolio of wedding pictures that have him, his ex-wife of 10 years ago, and family members in it. I know he really loved the high school gf, he detests his ex-wife. I am not jealous or even bothered by them, really. I just wonder, is it appropriate that he hang on to them now that he has remarried?

My 15 year old daughter just added me as a friend on her new facebook page which is good. She is getting closer to forgiving me. I do feel sad for any pain that I may have caused her.

Her Dad has sole physical and legal custody of her. He moved due to job reasons and is now going to take her with him.

I guess that I don't have any say in the matter because when I gave him custody, I lost any say in my daughter's life.

I do think that he should send a letter to the courts notifying them that he is changing the child's legal address.

I won't be able to contact my daughter by phone though. He does not have a home phone and she does not have a cell phone.

I feel removed from the decision, but I guess I have to give up hope that he would even consult me or send her to me. I live in another state and am willing to have her come live with me.

I have to learn to accept life as it is.

Anyone out there feel like they have tried in love and romance so many times and failed, crashed and burned, and been used so much that you are broke inside? Like you can't feel anymore? Like you've given all that your heart can give and now there is nothing left to give? Is it that I have tried too many times with the wrong people or is it that there is something wrong with me? I believe it is something in me. I am the only common denominator in all the bad equasions. I've tried to figure it out but since my last relationship I feel like I'm all used up and I just don't want to keep failing anymore. Am I alone on this?

My daughters friend , her sister and mom are suppose to being going on a trip with us. The problem is that she has not offered me any money as of today. Everything is being charged to me. The condo and the tickets. Her daughter told mine have fun on your trip. My daughter said "aren't you going" the reply "I don't know". I haven't heard from the mom and we are leaving in 11 days. What should I do? My kids say they don't want them to go anyway. Should I make up a lie and tell them that we are not going to go? I don't want there to be any bad feelings. I had to cancel their tickets , because I was so unsure of what they were doing and I would have been out all that money because you have to cancel 15 days prior to your arrival because it is non refundable.

What happens to a girl's neocortex when she gets drunk? Why is she more willing to have sex? Is it the inhibition of the rational side that usually stops her from having sex or is it the activation of some sort of mating instinct?

Is she still selective about the male? Will she be more willing to have sex with someone familiar than with a stranger?

I need a serious answer. I'm not interested if males take or not advantage on the sitation, or the moral concerns about it. I haven't and I will not take advantage, so don't worry.

On Saturday night I went out with friends. At one point I was sitting there and this guy came and sat next to me and told me I looked bored. He seemed friendly, was cute and had this awesome British accent. We talked for the rest of the night...I'm sort of embaressed by this, but i guess the alcohol and hormones took over and i kissed him. I leaned over and gave him a peck...then more kissing went on.... Before i did this he had told me he wanted to take me on a date, i had said ok. He had taken my #, and as i was leaving and was outside with my friends i saw that i had a text from someone that said hi. I assumed it was him, but...i wrote back, who is this? He wrote back, oi! it's mike, you just kissed me. I just wrote back, ya i know, you kissed me too. Next day i felt dumb. Long story short, he called the next day, we're going out wednesday. Do you think he just wants to get laid? He's only in the US until sept, goes back to London...

here's the deal... my bf left today for 2 weeks vacation to visit his family far away. We live together and he asked me to move his car into the garage if it was going to rain cause he just waxed it. Of course, like an hour later, it starts pouring so I go to move the car. I notice a brown paper bag on the seat and look inside and there is a 3 pack of trojan condoms in there with 2 missing out of the box. I called him right away to ask about them and he said that about 4 months ago, when we were apart, he bought them but he never used them. He said it wasn't for anyone in particular but just in case something happened. He said that he also doesn't remember what happened to the two condoms he took out of the box. He thinks they're still in the car somewhere but I searched & they're not. The funny thing is that the condoms exp. date is 2/2012 which seems to me like they'd be pretty new. Now he says he's mad that I went through his stuff too and not speaking to me at all. Opinions please

My gf is obsessed about knowing how many I've had. I originally told her 3 but she knew I was full of crap. Why is it even important if I used condoms every time? I could care less if she told me 100 as long as I'm 100 and it stops there. Is it insecurity or the whole "village bicycle" issue and feels I'm damaged goods? I thought that'd be a guy issue though.

Before school ended (3months ago), I was falsely accused of smoking pot during school. They suspended me just for being around others who were high when I WASN'T. It's a long story but I just walked in my friend's house and got in trouble. They said if I passed a drug test I could come back in 3 days, and I did. Even though I passed my parents were still mad at me (probably for skipping school and I guess because they were smoking illegaly). Technically, I just got suspened for skipping school because my friend's were smoking during lunch and off school campus. My whole family is mad at me mainly because I'm the youngest in the family. My siblings act like my parents as well. How could I gain their trust back? They took my cell phone away and won't let me hang out with anyone from my school. I think even though I passed the drug test they still think I smoked... Now, to make matters worse, I'm getting my grades and its FAR from a 4.0 (like a 2.9 i think). What can I do?
