Before school ended (3months ago), I was falsely accused of smoking pot during school. They suspended me just for being around others who were high when I WASN'T. It's a long story but I just walked in my friend's house and got in trouble. They said if I passed a drug test I could come back in 3 days, and I did. Even though I passed my parents were still mad at me (probably for skipping school and I guess because they were smoking illegaly). Technically, I just got suspened for skipping school because my friend's were smoking during lunch and off school campus. My whole family is mad at me mainly because I'm the youngest in the family. My siblings act like my parents as well. How could I gain their trust back? They took my cell phone away and won't let me hang out with anyone from my school. I think even though I passed the drug test they still think I smoked... Now, to make matters worse, I'm getting my grades and its FAR from a 4.0 (like a 2.9 i think). What can I do?

After what happened to you it's quite hard for you to regain your trust from your parents and family. Trust is the important thing in life if you let others lose their trust on you not only to your family it's hardest thing gain from a person. The only thing I can tell you to totally renew your self. Try to remove all your bad habits, try to become a more responsible child and citizen of your country not only for what had happend to you in the past but make it sure that to do your best forward to become a person in the future. Make sure whatever you say and do it Will happen not only through word of mouth. If you can stay away from your old friends that influenced you to become like that stay away from them and go with your other friends who have sense of direction in life. Make yourself more sensible person for all things you need to do and think. If you can be nicer not only to your parents but to your entire family. Do it for the rest of your life not only because of what happend to you but do it with all your sincerity. Thru this little by little I hope you'll regain the trust with your family especially with your parents.

You need to earn their trust and it will take some time... first of all get your grades up.. if you need help like tutoring talk to your parents about it - the fact that you are talking to them about your problems will be a positive thing. The first things parents look at if they think their child is doing drugs is their grades because grades usually fall when kids start partying, drinking and/or doing drugs.

Having all the older siblings might seem like a pain now but when you get older you will realize that it is kind of nice having so many people looking out for you.

Meanwhile, work on your grades, get involved in positive activities, find some better friends and start opening up to your parents and tell them what is going on in your life.. you might think it is difficult at first but beleive me it will get easier and it will help them learn to trust you.

Well dana fist of all my heart goes out to you i know what you mean but most importantly the conviction now it sounds like your parent are more imbarrassed than anything but you done the right thing by doing the test well done but to gain your parents trust back just show them that you are trying and do things like asking them for help so this will show them that you are not a drop out and youdo want the best for your self as i can already see but i would like to offer you somthing if you want some ongoing help or someone to talk to as a friend i will be there.

This was a huge object lesson for you;-}
It takes a thousand good acts to build trust.
And only one stupid mistake to destroy it.
You were very lucky this time.

Obviously you're hanging with the wrong bunch.
You came this close to being caught smoking.
What if they had guns? You'd be dead by now!

You must have known they were doing this.
Why else would you go there on lunch hour?
The fact that your grades are sufferring,
is another indicator that you are in a bad bunch.
You need to get those grades pulled up.
What about going to summer-school?

Your family loves you & cares about you.
They will be around you for ever!
Unless you drive them away by stupidity.
Choose your new friends very carefully.
You'll want ones that care as much as family.

I think you Know the answer to this one. But just in case: Never again hang out with people who perform criminal acts. Don't skip school. Show your maturity by helping out around the house without being asked. Don't whine or complain, but control your emotions. Don't blame other people for the bad things you do. Talk to your parents and tell them you realize where you went wrong. Promise to study and get better grades. Good luck.
