Yes (mine were in the room).

And yes, I did have the big "V".

There are good times too that outweigh the bad ones. Some days don't seem like it, but in looking back, I think that is the case.

By the way, "V"s are not technically reversible. The cut out a section of the Vas and cauterize the ends closed. The doctor asked me about 10 different times if I was sure about the procedure and I had to sign a statement saying I was ready. He said that the reversal procedure is actually a full-blown surgery and the chances are only 50/50 on a positive outcome.

Hey bud look I understand that thought process but vasectomies can be reversed, so do it live carefree and if you should change your mind get the reversal but dont feel bad about your feelings some people just aren't made for parenthood I'm very proud of you for recongizing this and wanting to do the right thing before you got some girl pregnant and either dumped her and your child or worse got stuck a vapid world of living for a unwanted child

Well, I have been in a room like that and thought, "I'm so glad none of these are mine. I must remember to kiss my husband for getting that vasectomy." Then continued to try not to step on legos.

True story.

First of all kids don't suck. They are just kids. If you don't want them, simply don't have them, but don't put other people's kids on such low level. Imagine what would have happened if your father had thought about vasectomy before getting you!

Quit talking about it and do it. In my first marriage, my first husband did it, my current husband has done it, my best friend did it this week end. He's still a little sore but trust me, the peace of mind is worth it. Sex gets better cause you don't have to worry about reproducing. The wife is more relaxed, I could go on and on. Truly, I doubt you would regret it.

This question depends on how old you are but if you are adult(21 or over) then you may need to re think having children of your own.

not exactly my thought process, but I do remember thinking along the lines of "wow, this is great birth control!" I think we all have been here now and then, but hopefully we also enjoy the chaos of our own when it happens. I raised five rambunctious ones, and am SO happy they are now young adults!
