Right, I brought this girl home a week ago, but before we left she made it very public that we were going home together that night, i.e. lots of kissing and holding hands in front of lots of ppl. Thing is, I don't relaly want things to go further, but I don't really know how to 'save face' for her when i see her out tonight. I.e. most ppl would know she went with me and that we're not together becoz everybody seems to know everyone here

My wife of four years has pushed me to pursue my ultimate goal in life and go after the Border Patrol. Now she is playing this game of "I refuse to move or teach in the valley" Basically shes playing this , Sacrifice game, where she thinks she was given up more than I have. What do I do, I have put my goal on the backburner for a couple of years now and if I put it off any longer it'll be too late.

We live in VA. We're looking for a place preferably without a long waiting period and where it will be easy to find an officiant. We're moving to the UK and I cannot start my student dependent visa application unless we are in a legally sanctioned union. (as long as its recognized by the state its given in the UK will recognize it)

I'm just so unhappy lately with the way my husband has been drinking. He's in such denial about his problem and i've just become a codependent to his addiction. I'm so sad and have been crying all the time. I've been taking a class 2 days a week and the evening class is when he feels like closing the bar down. I'm so stressed over his behavior and can't even focus lately. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is awkward. A couple weeks ago, I noticed that my best friend who I sit with at lunch every day was sitting very close to me and her leg was almost on top of mine. When we had a conversation, she would keep just LOOKING at me and making me nervous. It appears that she likes me, and I like her a lot as well, but I think that being girlfriends would mess up the "best-friend" bond. What do you think?

I only started work last week at a school that is over an hour away from home. It devistates me to wake and go every morning and I want to quit. -The thing is that my mother got me the job through her friend and I'm afraid that if I suddenly decide to quit, I'd ruin their relationship. Also I get paid 15 dollars an hour (which is alot for a college student). -But I hate it SO much. Help.....

I've been dating my bf for about 4 years now. I used get along with his sister.
She told me herself a few times about being jealous, once when her father bought me something for my bday she said " I wish I could have got the same thing"at Christmas time her mom got me some gifts she mentioned "I feel like you're the daughter now, I'm jealous" and then when we spoke she mentioned she was jealous of her brother and I because our relationship worked out and her's didn't, wouldn't you be happy that your brother was truly happy and your family approved also?
The problem is that we are going on vacation and she might be there, I just think it's not going to be such a great time since she's most likely going to be looking for attention. It's almost makes me uncomfortable to be around her... last time she came to visit us I tried to get her and her bro out so that I wouldn't have to see her. The way she acts is like she doesn't want me to be there... it's just weird I don't know what to do.

Am I wrong for getting irritated that my husband is like this? IT seems that he has to act cool for his friends. By acting cool I mean he has to show that even now that he's married, he is still in control of his own life. He still does his own thing. He can still go like he was going before, because after all, nothing has changed except his marital status. For instance, we are on a tight budget but he would rather spend money we don't have picking up the tab for his friends when they go out for drinks. No, he doesn't do it all the time but when he does do it he doesn't check our account so ensure there is adequate funds. He and a co-worker may go out for beers and drinks (no food) and the bill will be almost $40. We have talked about this and he said he doesn't feel like he is sharing the wealth since they pay for his bill sometimes. I understand that he wants to treat his friends sometimes and I have no problem with that. I treat my cousin at times. But if I tell him ...

I had a romance with this married man. He swears he loves me and he says he has been married only to give his son a home, he says that he doesn't love his wife and that they haven't have sex in months. I'm married too and I have a son too. And I know it's not right but sometimes things happen that way in life, so don't answer if you want to accuse me please, it's a long long story. I was just about to leave my husband for him, but when I told him about it he just said "I can't leave them, I have to protect my family, it can't be that way". The problem is that he still says that he dreams with me and that I am his true love. He doesn't matter if we never see each other, and only talk by mail or phone. He says that he just want to know how I am, how I feel. He says he just want's to be around. I still love him, miss him, and I don't know what to do. In addition, I feel very bad because he is still with his wife, I feel a little humilliated. Why men do such things?should I believe him?

I've heard alot of guys say that if he REALLY likes a girl (or admires her and can possibly love her), the more he doesn't tell her as much things and doesn't reveal his true self because the more he'll lose her?

I don't understand this at all - i always thought the more he'd be more himself, the more she'll be there and vice versa...you'd lose her more if you weren't being completely yourself....

can someone break this down for me, please?

My wedding is going to be at a very prestigious resort, and no one will be expected to be drunk. All of my guests know this is to be expected, so does anyone think it's necessary to have an open bar? I just don't want to have to pay for an entire bottle of liquor if only one person is drinking gin and tonics or something. Is a beer-wine-champagne bar better for this situation? Thanks!

My fiancé is insisting on inviting her ex to our wedding. I told her that this will make me uncomfortable but she says she wants her friend there. She is friends with his wife. Now I know she will not cheat on me and if she did it would not be with him but I still feel uncomfortable about him being there. She says that I am not taking into account how she would feel telling one of her friends that they can not come to our wedding. I suggested his wife come with her brother or a friend and she said that she won’t come without her husband.
I am looking into buying a weekend getaway package to anonymously giving to them that would require them to be out of town that day. I am talking about a nice romantic weekend at a bed and breakfast near them. Is this being to sneaky? Being direct with her doesn't work. Being honest with her on how I feel and even admitting that my feelings are irrational doesn't work.

I am not exactly the best looking guy in the world so I guess that is one of the problems. I've never even kissed a girl it is sad I know. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there that has this problem also.

I do not like going to clubs and walking up to a girl in the street you like might make them think you are a pervert or something and is a bit invasive especially if they are not interested.

No girls ever look at me so I know I am not very good looking. I have a good personality but it never seems to get to that because of my looks. It feels like I don't exist at times.

When I go out now I don't even care what I look like because there is no point in me wasting time trying to look good when it makes no difference.

Even when I go to the Gym it seems like girls actually try not to go on a machine that is close to me.

Do you have any ideas on other ways I could find a girl? I almost don't want to find one now because I have noexperience like I should for my age

was given everything he wanted from both his father and I. He moved out not to long ago. Now he is acting as though he doesnt want anything to do with me and his father. He tells other family members he left my home because of things we did. the truth is we kicked him out, because of things he did.

why is he doing this? He acts like he will never need us again. everyone in our family knows that we were good parents and we did what we could and more.

I hurt all day, and cant seem to shake it. the worst part about it is that i have other children and i dont want to make the same mistakes.

Please advice.

I am working at a contract position which will be ending soon. I am looking for a permanent job.

I don't know if I should focus on looking for a permanent job or setttling things with my ex-husband.

He has custody of our 15 year old daughter and they are both moving to a different state because of his job change. He has been there since Feb and has now sold the house.

I live in another state. I am willing to have my daughter come stay with me.

However, my ex-husband has not been able to move on and feels that we should get back together for both of our sakes and our daughter.

Should I be talking to him to negotiate things or focus on settling my own life?
