I go to a psychoolgist and they say because of what they did to me and are doing I have the following:

1. Aspergers Syndrome (born with it)
2. OCD (severe)
3. Fear of failure
4. Fear of wide open spaces
5. Fear of crowds

I thought all this hitting me was for good?

Never. Hitting a child is just causing them pain, and teaching them to hit.

I believe physical punishment is wrong, and there is always a better alternative!

Parents are meant to share love with their child, not be the person the raise a hand to them!

Yes, there are times when punishment is necessary. However the idea of hitting a child to shock them into not wanting to do something again, seems very desperate to me!

When a child is hit by a parent, they can't hit back. Which can lead children to believing that they shouldn't fight back for future situations!

If you watch Supernanny - you'll see, there are a lot of techniques to get your children to behave well. They have all worked! It just takes effort, perseverance and some good parenting!

Children should only be taught to react in that mannor as self defense, and nothing less!

Thank You
& Take Care!

Never with a metallic object! I'm so sorry to hear about that! I get hit too but only little slaps when I was not seeing my wrong ways. But now that I'm 15 my parents don't hit me anymore. I think that they were right to hit me because I didn't turn out to be like some spoilt brats I know. I'm actually grateful to them today for having hit me when I was small even though at that time it was not really appreciated I understood that my parents love me and they would never do something to hurt me! I'm not for hitting a child unless it is really serious. I think communication is the best way to reach a child and try to think the way the child is thinking. Different children may take it in differently so parents must be careful! In your case it is totally unacceptable. Did you try talking to them? Don't they see it hurts you? That is just horrible! You try and get some kind of protection as your case seems to be serious! Best of luck and take care!
Thank you :-)

You should never hit anyone. Anger issues and emotional issues are difficult to control, and sometimes people use the wrong outlet.Physical or emotional abuse to other humanbeings is wrong. Make a stand and try to avoid these situations if you can. Talk to a family friend or if you can move in with a different relative. Good luck

hey sweetie, what they are doing is wrong and you have got to believe that you do not deserve it...
thing is, you want to stay with them, or to keep them out of trouble, but you are taking all your mums troubles on your shoulders and you need to stop.
your mum is not your responsibility...

are there relatives or friends that you could stay with when things get real bad? or can your shrink sort out some sort of respite care/get away house for you? as you say you wan to stay at home i am not suggesting this full time but as an escape when you need it...

is your mum getting help for her depression, does she have lucid times when you could talk to her about what she is doing to you? i too suffer from depression, but i firmly believe that hitting children is wrong, it is not just the depression that is letting her do this, it is also cos noone has told her to stop...

you are already stronger than you know, look after yourself and take care..

No child should be hit. You are in danger and you should get help. Any help from friends any other relative, or profesional help. You should do something speak. That's big and serious personally I really don't belive in that kind of punishment no matter what.Just speak. ok it's for your own good.
hope you find your way. take care. and one more thing try to avoid to get hit, hide or something but don't hit back.

your parents should not be hitting you like that and why has you psychiatrist not told social services why have you not told your grandparents or someone at school that can help you. I was smacked when I was a kid but it was nothing this that and it never did me any harm, but what your parents are doing is very wrong

You should never hit a child. Its wrong. all physical beatings like that is wrong. I would call a child hotline service or something. Or maybe you could just talk to your parents so you can get an understanding why they are doing it.

Spanking is not abuse. I don't spank my children now because I don't need to. The reason I don't need to is because I spanked them when they were younger and now they mind. Funny how that works, huh? And it doesn't work if it doesn't hurt.

That is not to say that you should beat your children with foreign objects as a response to a failing mental condition either. Sounds like you might be getting abused, my friend. Set up a hidden video and get some evidence. It may come in helpful.

if this really is a serious post - then your parents shouldnt be hitting you with weapons. I do smack my children, but only about twice and that was for running out into the road, and lying to me.

You dont say how old you are, their reasons for hitting you, and what you feel about it.
