was given everything he wanted from both his father and I. He moved out not to long ago. Now he is acting as though he doesnt want anything to do with me and his father. He tells other family members he left my home because of things we did. the truth is we kicked him out, because of things he did.

why is he doing this? He acts like he will never need us again. everyone in our family knows that we were good parents and we did what we could and more.

I hurt all day, and cant seem to shake it. the worst part about it is that i have other children and i dont want to make the same mistakes.

Please advice.

sounds like he can't handle the truth and is trying to save face with others.by making you the bad guys he comes out smelling like a rose and doesn't have to be responsible for his actions. let it go. it really doesn't mean anything. no doubt he's embarrassed and hurt. he should be. the truth hurts. he'll come around. give it time and don't let him know that what he says hurts you. peace.

This has happened in my family as well. You cannot force your son to not make up lies; that is his own choice. Even reasoning with him, at this point, will probably not change things. Depending on the age of your other children, talk to them. And listen. Encourage them to communicate how they are feeling about the sibling, the move, and the family in general. Communication and honesty are the best policies here. This will help you reach out to your other children's needs. As for your son, just let him grow up and figure out his mistake for himself.
