dr. appointment. Tell you boss you felt a strange lump somewhere and need to have it checked out. Tell the boss the doctor is doing you a favor and squeezing you in for an appointment. When they ask you later about the appointment say they did a needle biopsy and it was a cyst and the doctor drained it.

Funeral is good.
Dr appt with a specialist (hard to get an appt so you have to settle for the time they give and can't rebook or you will have to wait a long time....gyn or any other specialist that doesn't have to mean serious trouble)

Sick is about as good as it gets.
Why don't you ask off in advance...
then you don't have to lie.

you don't feel good (it's true...you don't feel good about coming in for work...doesn't mean you are physically sick...but you are sick of work right?)
