How do you know if a relationship is for forever? I'm sure everyone that gets married believe that THEIR relationship is forever and that they have found their true love but then end up in divorce. How can you tell when its true and how can you move away from the fear that its not and that it might not work out.

Im 23 years old and been dating my guy for almost 4 years and were going to get married in 2 years but their's a problem I have a hard time trusting him beacuse of the past we had and now I'm seeing that its effecting us alot and we been fighting lately alot over the situation of me not trusting him. I tryed but IM SCARED to let my guard down, I dont want to get hurt again.... How should I trust him agin.. PLEASE just let me know how to deal with this.. THANX

I don't personally do it, but I know many people who do. I always thought of online dating as lazy and pathetic. Because people won't go out to meet new people.

i met a man over a year ago and was instantly connected to him. We spoke for hours and hours, wishing we could have met under different circumstances, but since he was married, it went no further. I recently spoke to him again and he says he is getting adivorce and wants to be with me. It all sounds insanely cheesy- but I do believe it was love at first sight for both of us, although I've never believed in such a thing. This would require me to move to another state while his divorce is still being processed. I want to be with him, but think it may be wise to wait a while. However, I do want him to know that I am serious about being with him...

I'll be having a MOH and 2 bridesmaids in my wedding. My MOH is, of course, helping out as much as she can from where she lives, as is one of my bridesmaids. The other bridesmaid, however, has done absolutely nothing to help. I can't even run ideas by her, because when I do, she gives me some answer like, "uh huh, that sounds great, so did I tell you about the guy I met last night?" It's really starting to annoy me. On top of all that, she informed me 3 days ago that she'll be coming in from out of town the day before our wedding, but she's leaving immediately after the reception to go hang out with friends she sees all the time. It's less than 2 weeks to the wedding, and I'm really not sure how to handle this. Any suggestions?

I am getting really tired of everyone on here telling me to go to bars and night clubs and to drink with women to get dates. I do not get involved with alcohol, I don't believe in it. Does anyone know how to meet girls without resorting to alcohol? Is that even possible nowadays?

My (predominantly white) friends tend to mock me a bit for generally finding black women very attractive -- I've probably run into more African-American girls I've wanted to date than white girls I've been attracted to.
I tend to tilt conservative when it comes to politics, though, and I don't have a personality that seems terribly compatible with most black women I've hung out with. (Don't misinterpret this as a stereotype. I understand there are many exceptions out there, I just haven't met many.) Most of my friends have told me there's no hope in me meeting a black woman who'd even want to date a white man, let alone date a guy with my personality and preferences.
Should I just give up and concentrate on girls of my ethnicity?

For a "solid" friend of 10 years, how much money should I give as gift for the new couple (we're all pretty young age wise for the whole gift list thing, plus I'm friends with the groom, don't know the bride too well)? I always thought at least $100 was standard & I gave $100 for the last wedding I attended, while bringing a date. However, I am flying solo for this one (didn't even have the option of bringing a guest) and I'm hearing different opinions on how much to give. A little help would be appreciated.

Lets start with my brother. He is a freeloader and doesn't give a care about anyone but himself. He has no respect for the women in the household. He picks fights with me, and gets aggressive if he doesn't get his way. I don't fight back but he just knocks me down and hits me. So a bully is what i would describe him as. I always ignore him its working...in a way. My dad is very sterotypical and a bit of a sexist. For an example. When i wanted to do Tae Kwon Do, he did not support me at all, and he had spasisms on the floor and said that would be me if i fought anyone- Since i was a girl. He does not stand up for his wife when my brother insults my mom behind her back. He and my brother complain about EVERYTHING and don't take action to do what they complain about. They expect my mom to clean everything. My dad cares about me, but doesn't treat me and my brother like equals. Its really starting to bug me, thats why i asked what i should do.

I love a man I have not seen in a while. He is my best friend. He is interested in being a missionary and traveling a great deal to dangerous places; I do not want to go to dangerous places, but can certainly travel. When I have asked for details, how long we would be gone, where we would be, I get bull answers. It seems to me he hasn't really looked into this, and doesn't do misson work here. However, I love him very much, feel I cannot live without him and want the best for us. I know, in the end, it is my decision if I go along. I would like to wait it out, and see if this is what he really wants to do. In the meantime, I still love him very much, and I miss him like crazy. Any tips on how to avoid this hardship, continue the friendship, see each other more often and spend quality time together (he lives in atlanta, i in ohio) and i'm scared we'll go our separate ways. It's hard to hope; he's always been there 4 me; but sometimes, i want to walk away; or to be married!

Me and my boyfriend think i'm expecting. Although, we're not 100% sure that i'm pregnant, there's a good chance that I am. I already have a son which my mom has been helping me support since his father neglected him and abandoned me when I was pregnant. I came down with depression after I had him and i'm just barely recuperating since I started taking anti-depressants.

So right now we're searching for a studio apartment (me and by b/f).Anyhow, my boyfriend keeps bugging me to get a job and I feel like he is pressuring me. He knows I just dropped out of high school recently, and i've been taking care of my baby. I'm happy that I'm finally staying with him because when I was taking him to the day care he got anemic since the sitters never payed any attention to him and never gave him his food or baby cereal. They only gave him formula.

And now that I'm feelig better (depression-wise) and that I stay with my baby my boyfriend decides that I NEED to get a job ASAP. What the hell?

We went to costco we were in line when I said I forgot laundry soap,, I asked for liquid, clurk said we also have powder so he brings back POWDER. He's been married to my mother for two years now and if it weren't for his support I wouldn't be in college right now. I consider him more of a father then my biological father and I'm not sure if getting him something would.. upset him? I don't think he'd react negatively to it.. I don't know. Can anyone help me?
